This is a nice and small I2C Contactless temperature sensor
I hooked it to an arduino Uno.
I also hooked up a small i2c lcd display on the same i2c bus .

hi marco... inquire how can i add at least 3 degrees in ambient and object temperature in the coding of arduino because the readings becomes weak as the object goes farther to offset the distance and somehow still show more or less accurate readings...

Hello Sir thanks for the good work .....I have a situation using the I2C protocol in ESP8266-12E where . I my sitting I have 2 i2c sensors the first one is oximeter MAX30100_PulseOximeter and the second one is IR contactless temperature sensor MLX90614.. the code is pretty simple and clear and when it upload to the NODE MCU ESP9266-12e it run with out error I got the oximeter values only and it work nicely ..problem is.. in the MLX90614 I got this value 1037,55 as a temperature.....while when the IR contactless temperature sensor MLX90614 run alone it work nicely and I got the temperature values nicely ..could you help me please thanks in advance

yes with 0.5°C accuracy.

you can put on the I2C bus many connections. each one with a different address.that is what the i2c protocol and bus is for

@@anoopc1645 you have to use other model, this sensor has 3 options so one of them can reach up to 15 cm very accurate.

If you interpretate the temperature, is possible to assume as some body in front the sensor.. but if you put something hot in front, may be generate false accion.

You have to change the address of one sensor... So you can interrogate one sensor at time.

Daniel Pratama scl lcd and sensor to A5, sda both to A4, vcc sensor to 3,3V arduino, vcc lcd to 5V arduino, gnd to gnd

If you want more accurate, you have to use other sensor, there is other 2 model of this sensor, that have less field of view, so you can get more accurate
