They did a good deed. A floating container at sea is huge hazard at night for passing ships. The hole they made will help sink the container as rain and waves fill it with water.

A container vessel would just push that container out of the way. Not much of a hazard for them. Its only a hazard for small fiberglass body vessels like yachts.

Во первых если опасный груз, он маркируется стикирами на контейнере, во вторых горючий наливом перевозится в бочках, а в третих если и бы и было что то опасное то оно сегрегированно в коробках было бы))

Seafaring law is complicated... The find (Booty) has to be declared to the authorities of the finders country of registration and then the bureaucracy begins... If the vessel does not report the find and plunders (steals), there is a risk of the ship being impounded (confiscated).
