I don't even listen to Taeyeon's music like that, but bayb, INVU has had me in a chokehold since it came out. Be having me doing one man concerts, she ate that one. There were other kpop KZfaqrs that said it was boring/not good, and I was like... "So yall really just got bad taste then."

There are plenty of idiots in the world who can't appreciate anything that isn't bold and loud, and they even sometimes tout themselves as 'purists'. That part is really funny to me because they don't know their own asses from holes in the ground. I prefer open-minded people far more than elitist snobs who really know nothing and like to proclaim their idiocy with their whole chests. Still sometimes hilarious to hear them spout off. Cheap entertainment is difficult to find these days. :D

Welp, i guess i'm a Taeyeon stan now. INVU is PHENOMENAL. I swear i'm an absolute sucker for when K-Pop dips into like that kinda deep house EDM synth bass + R&B vocals/slow jam vibe. It just hits so god damn different.

Taeyeon is such a good singer!! I saw her Killing Voice and damn this girl can sing. Glad she was able to promote as a solo singer.

When she said that the mv seems aphrodisiac, it is actually said that Taeyon’s INVU mv was inspired by the greek goddess, Artemis. Artemis’ lover, Orion, died in a war, so since Artemis, the goddess of the moon (a title amongst her other ones), released his remains in the sky and turned him to a star, hence why we have Orion as one of the many constellations. The director of this mv and Taeyon used Artemis’ tragic love story as a way to relate what her song, INVU, means.

The concert video vocals are almost muted beecause whenever I check out Taeyeon's fancams it's like okay her Mic is definitely on lol. You know that girl can belt! The sound comes through so powerful in fancams. You can hear that resonance. Too bad a lot of fancams have shaky visuals and the audience comes through a bit too much. She should check out the Top 12 Emotional Singing Video as well

Just my favorite female vocalist on this planet! That's all! If I'm not mistaken SNSD are still at SM. Only Tiffany Soonyoung and Seohyun left the company. Btw, we're having a comeback with full members very soon!

Taeyeon always do concerts by herself and her band.. She seldom uses other people's voices on her songs too so she often sings the second vocals for her songs whenever she records any .. She was always very clear that she wanted to showcase herself when performing but a choir would so awesome to for concerts

thanks for the reaction! her mic isnt pitch corrected though (based on videos taken at the concert by fans), there’s just post-processing of the audio when the concert video is released! i agree about the background singers. she used to have them in her first two concerts but i guess not anymore. i think it’s a bit uncommon in korea.

Performances on shows like Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook will sometimes have backup singers. They're so needed! It's kind of what you've talked about before on this channel about how they'll get groups with 5+ members yet all are singing the melody. For what?? There are very few groups that have actual harmonies and even fewer idols that you can tell learned them. You have SHINee and RV on lock but this is also what TVXQ was known for as a group of 5.

Taeyeon is a beautifully skilled vocalist. This has such an 80s vibe a-la Kate Bush, Terri Nun, Pat Benatar moreso than an R&B artist. Question: Are we just so starved for beautifully skilled female vocalists? Ariana has been quiet lately. Name a current pop vocalist that’s comparable to the Toni Braxtons, the Brandys the Beyoncés and the Mariahs in the R&B realm.

There’s none! Like the whole “vibe” singers is the main thing right now. Like summer Walker, sza and jhene which I do like a lot of their songs but it’s just not the same!

INVU composers: Peter Wallevik, Daniel Davidsen, Rachel Furner, Jess Morgan Lyricist: Jinli (Full8loom) Davidson is a Danish born guitarist, Furner is an English singer (stage name Tich). Morgan is a singer/songwriter from East London.

No choir backing up the lead vocals is a K-pop thing. I can't remember any single vocalist getting that. In K-pop, dancers are a dime a dozen, and in many cases, the backup dancers are actually trainees from the same company as the vocalist. The singers are usually in actual K-pop groups. If you want to hear harmonies, you will have to listed to GG as a group. They are the gold standard of group vocals. Shinee is the gold standard for male idol groups.
