This is great insight for sure. My only remaining question that no one seems to be able to answer is WHAT exactly made them fall in love with Liufau? I don't think he was going until maybe the early 5th maybe in the 6th as he was around the 190s - 200s on a lot of people's draft boards. I feel like there was as high as 50% chance he'd be available by the next pick we had and we could have used it on him instead of a corner which is one of the few positions we truly don't need help at even if Gilly signs elsewhere.

If they're not expecting to win now, does it really matter if we have a featured back this season. If they are planning to move on from the head coach and qb after this season, maybe they will figure out the running back situation next season. If they do hire a new coach, it should be a creative offensive mind like Houston OC, Bobby Slowick rather than someone like Bill Bellicheck. It's time to have creative schemes
