Actually! When she described the contour as 'Villain' there's a reason behind it! Character design often falls into 3 categories. Squares, circles, and triangles. Can you guess which one is used for villains? Triangles! The best example of this I can think of rn is Jeffar from Aladdin. As for the other shapes, squares are often for strong people, or the stereotypical "hero" of the story. For example, Ralph, from wreck it Ralph. He has a very boxy build. As for circles, it's for softer or more gentle characters. you could say Penelope could count. Round cheeks, button nose, etc. though her personally doesn't exactly match. For the villan though, it's not apparent at first who it is. But the king guy (I can't remember his name all of a sudden) has a mixture of circles and triangles. The circles are meant to deceive you, but the triangles are still there. In his head shape, and his exaggerated collar. But yeah thanks for listening❤❤

This method is also how we map eyebrows. It’s based on where your physical features are ergonomically and should fall based on your facial structure. Basically when I thread people to shape their eyebrows, fill in their eyebrows with tint or apply their makeup I see their face as a grid. This is so cool to see explained scientifically too!☺️

this is one of those comments that makes other references stored in your brain light up... so I didn't know this was called the alar-tragal line but suddenly I remember from my first year in Archaeology that the zygomatic bone (basically the cheek bone) that was so pronounced in the Neanderthals was also called the malar bone.
