It's almost impressive just how wrong this game is. As a Contra game, Rogue Corps almost goes out of its way to be completely inept. As a general shooter, its sub-par in every way.
Slow, repetitive, and ugly as hell, Contra: Rogue Corps is embarrassing even by Konami's low standards, and this is all before we get to the weapons overheating.
Because weapons overheat in this game. This Contra game.

Looks like a solid 4/10 game from an indie studio that you can get for five bucks on Steam. Except it's Contra and it costs 40 dollars.

He had also been director and designer on Rocket Knight Adventures, scenario and map designer on Vandal Hearts, and artist on Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. He said he wanted to capture the traditional spirit of the series, while modernizing it for a new audience."
