@@terryswails1191 I clearly meant what about THIS VIDEO makes you want to learn more about gods word. But since you brought it up, do you think it is a sign of love and grace to slaughter all the people on the planet out of spite? Do you think it is a sign of mercy to condemn everyone to an eternity of torture and punishment for simply ignoring you? If your small finite mind can imagine such a powerful and wonderful god existing, why can’t it imagine more powers and possibilities? Your entire concept of god has been created by your finite mind, so there is nothing preventing you from imagining more powers and characteristics for it. Also, how do you plan on knowing god on a non-mental level when you have never had any physical interaction with him or any physical evidence that he even exists?

If you do ,you have no morality too stand on too say God is bad,cause your truth or what you think is truth is just thoughts rotating by chance,Do you believe murder is wrong? Do you believe rape is wrong? @@ServantofGod17 Do you not think it is evil to torture people. Do you not think it is evil to punish people for not loving you? I certainly don’t base my morality on the words of a god that condones slavery and who slaughtered innocent woman and children. If god of the bible set the standard for morality, than owning slaves is moral, killing those who don’t love you is moral, beating a person to death is moral. Yes, the atoms in our bodies originated in stars. Yes we share a common ancestor with apes. Yes we are here by a series of events played out over billions of years. My thoughts are not chance, my existence was chance. Do you believe we were just spoken into existence out of nothing by a magical sky wizard? Yes I believe murder is wrong, that is why I believe your god was wrong when he murdered millions of innocents. Yes I believe rape is wrong, that is why I believe your god was wrong for creating it. You are literally saying it is not evil to murder since your god murdered and you claim he is good. So you are on the side of murders and rapists. Your standard of morality is on the wrong side and that is why I push back against your god and his so called morals.

Felipe, doesn't that statement sound strange to you, at least a little? Think of the definition of Faith: strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual recognition rather than proof. So why would you feel you need to logically defend your faith? Faith is yours no matter what others think about the trappings or fluff of your religion.

This is actually incredible because it’s not just that it disproves contradictions, but it proves even further that there was an extremely fine amount of care and precaution used when recording these things to make sure that they made sense between one another and could be reconciled, giving even greater evidence that the passages are not meant to be taken merely symbolically, but actually historically accurate. Otherwise there’s no need to provide different ways of speaking the same thing. This is what I love about the Bible, it refers to itself over and over again, and while some take these differences in terminology as contradictions, they actually exist to provide credibility toward one another. The chariots and horsemen one was a perfect example of this- the biblical authors could easily have just stated it was either 7,000 or 700, but instead they use each other’s passages to explain that there are a totality of 7,000 chariot men, and 700 chariots in total, meaning each one would be comprised of a regiment of 10 soldiers as Kent explained. It’s a beautiful way to show the credibility in the history in a very subtle but deliberate manner. One has to wonder whether this occurred by design or whether memory simply had a preference for explaining it one way over the other. What can be said, however, is that logically it would be a worse decision to add extraneous steps of logical thinking to your text if you would want people to believe it’s true, thus you would not create separate means of arriving at the same conclusion. You would simply state either 7000 or 700. But because it’s not concerned with being convenient, instead merely stating the history, it sacrifices the convenience of the story telling in order to provide an accurate representation of the events, and only through careful reading does it come to be understood how it’s simply stating what was, not what you expect to read. It’s remarkable

Secondly, the king James is the only bible that does not come from the Christian cult called the Alexsandrian text which was not from those that followed Jesus.

he is too technical and he speaks too fast, he reasons much more like a lawyer. at 1:22 he shows us that Gen 1 (12-13) is about God making tree YIELDING FRUIT (fruit trees) on Day 3 at 4:12, he then shows us that in Gen 2, trees that are GOOD for FOOD were made ONLY in the GARDEN ONLY. he does NOTTT show us where it says in Gen 1, that the FRUIT YIELDING trees that were made EARLIER, were BAD FRUITS which were NOTTT good for FOOD or that those FRUIT TREES (made earlier) were somehow POISINOUS FRUIT that were NOTT good for food. Did you see that ?? No pun intended, but . . . Isn't that FOOD for Thought ? Now, you go do the Math. where does THE CONCLUSION that the trees GOOD for FOOD were ONLY made in the GARDEN ONLY . . . if the FRUIT BEARING trees (made earlier) outside/before the garden were NOT disclosed as poisonous or as UNFIT for food ?? can someone here perhaps tell me . . . HOW does He know that . . . the trees GOOD for FOOD were ONLY made in the GARDEN ONLY ?? when it is 100% PERFECTLY POSSIBLE that the FIRST TREES (made earlier) were ALSO good for FOOD since they were Not EVER blamed or described as UNFIT for FOOD or poisonous to eat !

All religions have some truth in them, and that truth is going to be repeated in the bible due to being true. So, nothing in the bible is being stolen from another religion it's just the truth from that religion being repeated in the bible due to being true. Stories of worldwide floods from other religions are repeated in the bible because a worldwide flood actually happened. The stories themselves maybe different, but the foundation of the story which is the worldwide flood is the truth that the story is based on. *the Bible was written and translated from Greek and other languages. the original text of genesis talks from the perspective of "Gods" ( plural) and so many other inconsistencies....Bart Erhman.* God is a Trinity, so what's the problem with God being referred to in a plural term? I don't see a problem with it. There's God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit they are the three persons of the Godhead (Trinity) and so they are going to be referred to in plural form due to being three persons of the Godhead (Trinity).

There seems like many possibilities for truth, but really there are only 2. Catholocism, buddhism, islam, Hinduism, agnosticism all rely on the self's works for salvation. To believe in Christ means that you no longer trust your own self for salvation, but you now trust in Jesus' work (it was perfect) and trust in his selfLESS sacrifice for us. Also the greatest expression of love. In short, all religions say put your trust in yourself. It is selfish, prideful. Put your trust in Jesus

***** I'll agree that most subjects can be translated literally. For say, poetry, I don't think it's possible to translate both literally and 'accurately' -- you can be literal and the poetry gets lost, or you can try to be accurate to the original 'feeling' -- and for this you have to be creative about it, inventing, changing, whatever, so the original flavor and deeper meaning comes across in the new language. I guess I could say more simply: There are parts of the Bible that aren't meant to be literal.

***** the bible used to be completely literal for a very long time but as the "gaps" closed in it has became a supernatural to a "parable" stories to give us a lesson in how to interact within society which jas now became just stories as we understand morality is not a concept for only the religious.. So the bible is irrelevant except for a few who hold onto for guidance and a spiritual tool.. So who deems what to be literal or stories.. Well moderate Christians themselves flip flop.. Slaves, divorce,sex before marriage all changed but hate against homosexuality still remains... Only a matter of time before it is another book of old akin to Don quioxte or Shakespeare.. Not a tool for guidance for the weak

We can't be honest and just say "I don't know" we fill in areas. God of the gaps... How does the sun move.. God.. What's a rainbow.. God.. Etc.. Now we can explain nearly everything and make predictions in science, where the bible is akin to having tarot cards read for future predictions.. Vague and likely to be right when you want it to... Like thinking your phone is going to get a txt... Then you get a txt.. A random coincidence we place amazement in.. Due to infancy of mind. The bible is a degraded source of comfort,prophecy, salvation... It's going to pass like rain dances... Human sacrifice for rains or to please an angry volcano, and superstitious nonsense.... But you have to be brave, as children we have been brainwashed by chance of origin of birth.. If you were Indian high chance of being Hindu.. Chinese.. Tao.. Middle East.. Muslim.. Israel.. Jew etc...

How does that disprove evolution.. ?? And what gaps?? And even if we were to surrender that there is gaps, we would still have explained more of the world than "god" or any god has or ever will. How do roots survive from trees survive or lilys.. or do you mean organic matter that is disposed into water ie a fallen tree?? Also to have no fear means to not fear anything physical, this world, temptations, Satan….but the fear of the Lord is spiritual fear, fear to mock God, disobey him, live in rebellion to him. That fear leads to wisdom because you take the correct position under God and not living a godless life that states “I am god and I can do whatever I want” which is foolishness as appose to wisdom.

This argument is not going to go anywhere if you keep trying to use dishonest tactics like that. Comparing God to an abuser is ridiculous, and quite honestly I also find it offensive to people who have actually been in abusive relationships. I was never truly happy in my life before I was a Christian. The happiness and joy that God has given me is the absolute opposite of abuse. At any rate, you're going about this argument in a manner that is not going to change my mind at all. I have many different reasons for believing in God and for believing that the Bible is His Word, so if you wanted to dismantle my faith, maybe you should actually use some logical arguments instead of emotional ones. But there's also a psychological fact that it's very difficult to change someone's mind on major topics like religion and politics unless you personally know that person first, so I think this whole argument is pointless for both of us. I've never once seen neither a theist nor an atheist change their mind about this topic from some random argument on the internet.
@Zander_251
@Zander_251 8 жыл бұрын
You know absolutely nothing about my life, or the emotions that I feel and what makes me feel them, or how much I've questioned my faith at times and for what reasons, so you are being ridiculous with your claims about me. I will not stoop to your level, because I also know absolutely nothing about your life or about why you have such intolerance for Christians and our faith, so I will not speak unsubstantiated assumptions about why you act this way. Now, as I already said, this whole argument is utterly pointless and is not going to convince either of us of the other person's viewpoint. You're not accomplishing anything productive right now.

Here Kent Hovin explains (excuses) the literal contradictions in the bible, the easy ones, leaving out the logical contradictions and evident fallacies that the bible has. The bible is one of the many man made books, not the only one or the word of a god. If there was only one god, we would have all the books that mention a god with the same description from the beginning of those cultures. What we have is many cultures describing different gods. Some of those cultures were arrogant enough to say "my god gave me this land where you live, so I'll kill you and keep it" or "if you don't believe in my god I'll kill you and keep your land and your virgins", indoctrination 101. That's how you don't have many cultures around anymore, because they rather die than loose their identity. And the ones that you still see around, they had to accept and adopt the oppressors' believes in order to survive. Don't think you're special Kent Hovind, the worms that eat the corps of a pig will eat yours too

What were Jesus' last words on the cross before he died? Mark 15:34 says "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" Matthew 27:46 agrees with Mark. Luke 23:46 says his last words on the cross were " Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit" John 19:30 claims his last words on the cross were "It is finished". 4 gospels, 3 different claims for what his last words on the cross were. These are contradictions.
@dennishidalgo22
@dennishidalgo22 Жыл бұрын
@@cnault3244 Matthew and Mark don't specifically say those were his "last words". Just because those are the last words recorded by each of those authors, doesn't mean those are the last words he spoke. Matthew 27:50 says Jesus cried again with a loud voice and then died. It's possible he said something that wasn't recorded by Matthew. (Luke 23:46) "¶ And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost." would seem to be the same moment mentioned in Matthew 27:50. John's account is different but that doesn't mean he didn't say "into my hands I commend my spirit, it is finished" as his last words on the cross (which is what I believe). Absence of information != contradiction.

Just stumbled upon your video by accident looking for music. I listened to a small proportion of your Genesis account. So I decided to share something with you that came up recently in a private Bible study. I was reading some scriptures -books of the Bible that I have read numerous times in the past. And what I discovered was in Ephesians 6:14 regarding the full armour of GOD vs 1 Thessalonians 5:8. Ephesians refers to the Breast plate of righteousness righteous whereas one Thessalonians refers to the breast plate of faith and love. Could you explain why Paul has 2 different references to the breastplate? 😊
@temjiu9915
@temjiu9915 8 ай бұрын
This is a bit old, and not sure if you ever got an answer to your question. An easy way to look at it is understanding what a breastplate meant in those days. The breastplate was in their view the most important part of the armor, since it covered most your vital organs. You can live without a leg or an arm, but you can't live without a liver, or a heart. There are some smaller details that could be argued, but it was the primary motivation for wearing a breastplate in those days. So the important part of both analogies is understanding that they are using that breastplate to underline some of the most critical elements of their analogy. in both circumstances they wish to highlight the importance of those aspects. Different conversations, but same analogy used to give importance to those principles. Righteousness, as well as faith and love, are cornerstones to the Christian faith, and you can't really survive without any of those.

Likewise, morality can only be measured against it's standard of measurement. If there is no God, then man is simply guessing what morality is. That poses the largest issue of all. Can you imagine if everyone came up with their own definition of an inch? If you do not believe God is real, then who cares what anyone believes. We are just a random accident and nothing matters anyway. My point is, why are you hounding those who believe, unless you are simply trying to convince yourself that there is not God?

Great vid and comments. Billy Graham's great crisis in his early ministry was his struggle to accept the total inerrancy of the Bible. I think this is a challenge to all new Christians. Once he went all in...well, the rest is history. As you grow,mature, and study, you'll come to the same conclusions presented here. After starting with the NASB, I read a number of other versions. Aside from reading it in the original Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek, the KJV is consistently proven to be the most accurate. The only other ones I'd be okay with are NKJB, NASB, and ESV. The NIV is so loose I consider it more of a lousy paraphrase.

In Gen. 1 what the birds were made of was not mentioned. But in Gen. 2 animals were made of the dirt. That would include birds. You will notice Gen. 2 contains details of what is in Gen. 1. Gen. 1 gives the sequence, Gen. 2 gives a list of details.

Can someone please explain to me about Jeoiachin’s reign? In 2 chronicles 36:9 and 2 kings 24:8. Genuine question.
@_Moses_The_Servant
@_Moses_The_Servant Жыл бұрын
Now notice something very interesting. There is a king Jehoram reigning in Israel, and there is a king Jehoram reigning in Judah. Jehoram, in Judah, begins to reign during the fifth year of Jehoram’s reign in Israel (2 Kings 8:16). Therefore, Jehoshaphat still has two to three years left on his reign. That’s why 2 Kings 8: 16 says” Jehoshaphat being then king of Judah.” He isn’t dead yet. Jehoshaphat co-reigns with Jehoram in Judah. It is at this time that he assumes control over both Israel and Judah and is therefore called the “king of Israel” (2 Chronicles 21: 2). How the 42 Year-old Ahaziah gets to the Throne Jehoshaphat dies while both Jehoram’s are still reigning. Jehoram, in Judah, gets sick with an incurable disease during the last two years of his reign in Judah. Before Jehoram in Judah dies, Athaliah (Jehoshaphat’s widow) puts her 42 year old son, Ahaziah, on the throne. This is done during the 11th year of Jehoram’s reign in Israel, just 6 to 7 years after Jehoram was put on the throne in Judah (but obviously before his death, since he reigned 8 years). How the 22 Year-old Ahaziah gets to the Throne Shortly after the older Ahaziah takes the throne in Judah, Jehoram’s 22 year old son also takes the throne in Judah, since he is the heir by birth to the reigning king in Judah (evidently planning to have the older Ahaziah assume control of both Judah and Israel, like Jehoshaphat did). This is Jehoram’s youngest son (also called” Jehoahaz”), who reigns because his older brothers were killed by the Arabs (2 Chronicles 21: 17; 22: 1). The younger Ahaziah ascends to the throne during the 12th year of Jehoram in Israel. The Two Athaliah’s - Mothers of the Two Kings Athaliah the daughter of Ahab. The 22 year old Ahaziah is the son of Jehoram, king of Judah, and Athaliah the daughter of Ahab (2 Kings 8:25, 18). She’s also called “Athaliah, the daughter of Omri, king of Israel,” in 2 Kings 8:26. However, she is his granddaughter. Consequently, the 22 year old Ahaziah is the “son-in-law of the house of Ahab” (2 Kings 8:27). * Athaliah the daughter of Omri. Since there are two Athaliah’s, it is said of the mother of the 42 year old Ahaziah, “His mother’s name ALSO was Athaliah the daughter of Omri” (2 Chronicles 22:2). That “ALSO” is very important when you consider that Jehoram’s wife and Jehoshaphat’s wife both go by the same name. The Length of the Ahaziahs’ Reigns Both of the Ahaziah’s are said to have reigned for one year. Evidently, the older Ahaziah reigns just a little bit longer than the younger one, since he starts a little earlier. Both of these men were killed by Jehu. It is in the analysis of their deaths that you can see that there really are two Ahaziah’s reigning jointly in Judah. How They Died - The Key 2 Kings 9:27-28 records the death of the younger Ahaziah. Right after Jehu shot Jehoram, king of Israel, Ahaziah fled by the way of the garden house. Jehu himself followed after him and instructed his men to smite him while he was in his chariot. They did this in a place called Gur, just outside of Ibleam, which is north of Samaria. Ahaziah was able to flee in his chariot all the way to Megiddo, where he finally died. Following his death, his servants carried him in a chariot to Jerusalem and buried him there in the sepulcher of his fathers. 2 Chronicles 22:7-9 records the death of the older Ahaziah. Like the younger Ahaziah, he had gone to see Jehoram, king of Israel. Jehu’s men found Ahaziah when they were looking for him, while he was hidden in Samaria. They caught him and brought him to Jehu. When they killed him, THEY buried him. The reason that they said that they buried him was that “he is the son of Jehoshaphat.” Notice the differences in the deaths of the two Ahaziah’s. One was shot in his chariot and fled to Megiddo. He was then taken by his servants back to Jerusalem to be buried. The other was caught and brought to Jehu, where he was slain before him and buried. These are obviously not the same man. Conclusion So, the Ahaziah of 2 Chronicles 22:1 is the 22 year old Ahaziah, who is the youngest son of Jehoram, king of Judah. The Ahaziah of 2 Chronicles 22:2 is the 42 year old son of Athaliah, who was also the stepson of Jehoshaphat. It should be no surprise that Athaliah would promote her own son to the throne of Judah. After all, she was a direct descendant of Omri and a sister to Ahab, the wickedest king that Israel ever had. Furthermore, it is obvious that she intended to have influence over the throne, since she took the throne herself after the death of her son (2 Chronicles 22:10-12). The successor to the throne after Athaliah’s seven year reign, which coincides with Jehu’s first seven years as king over Israel, was Joash, who is the son of the 22 year old Ahaziah.

You atheists are so desperate to cling to your evolution theory that you will attack God (who you don't even believe exist) and His word. Your agenda is plain and simple you all just want to live a rebellious life without God. Please just admit it! I have good news for you all, there is a place where you will be finally free of God completely. A place so far removed from Him called Hell. I hope you all will repent and turn to the Lord before that happens. I will pray for you all. Psalms 10:4 The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts. BTW: the Bible classifies animals of the water as fishes so even a whale got the "fish" label. It is mankind that have later decided to classify whales into the mammal category. There are documented cases of people being swallowed by whales do your homework: www.reasons.org/articles/a-modern-jonah

Planet Zion Actually, our disbelief doesn't stem from some weird thirst for rebellion. We simply find the bible to be a silly fable that contains talking snakes, talking donkeys, millions of animals surviving on a boat for a year, and a guy living inside a whale's stomach and surviving, etc. It is pretty obviously bronze age mythology. Speaking of silly, I am wondering if you follow the bible's wise instructions on how to live? For instance in Leviticus 14 instructs us on how to cure skin disease. So in case you have some skin problems or anything, the bible has ya covered with these fantastic instructions: Leviticus 14 Step 1. Take a bird and kill it, let the blood flow into a pot Step 2. Dip another bird into the blood of the dead bird Step 3. Rub the live bird with the dead bird's blood onto the person's diseased skin. PRESTO! skin disease cured. Right? Or um. That doesn't work at all. And I realize the people of that time called whales fish. That doesn't bother me in the least. The problem is that no person can survive inside a fish for THREE DAYS dude. Ugh. People in the 21st century still actually believe this stuff is real? Oy vey. That link you sent was dead by the way but I know the story. It has been soundly debunked. There are all sorts of stories told by people claiming UFO abductions and all sorts of fantasies. But I assure you, if you go try to live in the stomach of a whale for three days you will 100% assuredly die. Science.

Brian Tyler The Old Testament uses imagery like this all the time. It is a literary device called a type. The animal sacrifices, the account of Abraham and Isaac almost being sacrificed were all shadows anticipating the first coming of Jesus Christ and the sacrifice that He made on the cross. You are taking the scripture completely out of context. God knows the heart and He knows that you are deliberately rebelling because if there is a God, then you will have to be accountable to Him and have to accept His son Jesus Christ. And another thing many scholars actually are of the opinion that Jonah actually died in the fish as it is hinted to in Jonah 2:2 (KJV) And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of HELL cried I, and thou heardest my voice. So Jonah may have died but his body did remain in the fish for those three days so that Jonah would serve as an Old Testament shadow of Christ entering Hell and rising on the third day as in Matthew where Jesus Himself says: Matthew 12:40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. How does an Almighty God relate complex topics to four dimensional creation like Humanity? Through His word the Bible (back then the Tanakh alone) and through all the many scriptures that painted a shadow for the events that would unfold when Jesus Christ finally arrived in His first coming. His death, burial and resurrection.

Planet Zion That old canard? I respect that you believe so deeply but as a former Christian, whenever I was confronted with anything strange in the bible I would always reach for the "oh that's just imagery / metaphor" or "you took it out of context." No, it is in context. In fact, my background is in contextual biblical analysis. As a former Christian I majored in biblical history at UCLA and went on for my post-graduate work at Harvard. I assure you, this passage is not out of context. It is a practical instruction given to the Hebrews as a practical matter in curing skin disease. Sure, you can also ascribe any metaphysical whimsy to the story you wish but in no way is it mere "imagery." It was written by primitive bronze age people of the pre-scientific era that really thought that things like that worked. It was a common "cure" at the time. If you feel you want to discuss the bible in more depth in the original Hebrew or whatever you like so we don't just take up all the space on this youtube page, be feel free to email me at briantyler@post.harvard.edu anytime you like. Cheers

"Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools," Don't you realize that quote applies to you as easily as anyone else? You think you're wise believing in the bible and rejecting evolution. But you're not wise, you are a fool. Evolution is real, not believing it doesn't make it any less real. And the bible is not true at all. Christianity is an offshoot of judaism, which stole their god Yahweh from the cult of ba'al, which based their religion on Egyptian myth. Your religion is nothing more than a sequel to a spinoff of a reboot.
@atimnie
@atimnie 6 жыл бұрын
First of all, dumbfuck, I don't reject a "loving" god. God, as depicted in the bible, is a total asshole, calling for "his people" to go to war against neighboring nations, stoning to death sabbath breakers and disobedient children, promoting marital rape and slavery. God is a fucking shithead. And evolution is not a fucking religion, it's a fact. Again, choosing not to believe and be willfully ignorant of the facts does not make it any less true. Evolution is not "made up", religion is. And Yahweh, whether you want to acknowledge this fact or not, has a direct lineage to Egyptian myths, as I have already explained. Yahweh was just one among many gods in the cult of Ba'al, which was based on Egyptian myths. This is a verifiable fact. And the Jesus myth has elements of earlier myths, this also is a verifiable fact that your bible addled brain refuses to accept.

You don't know ANYTHING about my worldview. Evolutionists don't HAVE a worldview because there's no such thing as EVOLUTIONISTS, only people who are smart enough to accept evolution as the fact that it is, people smart enough to reject obvious biblical mythology in favor of scientific FACTS.
@atimnie
@atimnie 6 жыл бұрын
You have just demonstrated, beyond any doubt, your ignorance and stupidity. You show a total lack of understanding on what evolution actually is. You obviously looked up the definition of evolutionist, but you didn't follow up on what evolution actually is. Hint: it's none of the things you think it is. Look up evolution, understand how it works, before you make such a stupid, uneducated, ignorant comment like that again. And don't even pretend that the bible is accurate, infallible, or inerrant in any way. It's historically and scientifically inaccurate, logically inconsistent, and rationally ridiculous. Only an absolute fool would take the bible as literal fact. Fortunately, most christians are not stupid bible literalists like you. Most christians at least have the common sense to know biblical mythology when they see it (in most cases anyway, still a bit of a blind spot when it comes to Jesus).

Well, technically, all of us deserve death right now because of sin.

Rationalized? Execution is different from murder? Unbelievable! Christians always have an excuse for God. This is why I will never believe how the rest of you hippocrates believe.

Rich Garcia Rich I need to clarify. I'm not the one who rationalizes this nonsense, I was simply sharing what other fools have said about the "contradiction". I guess they feel if you bang a square peg into a round hole long enough it will go through, with no regard for the intellectual consequences. And yes, it is quite unbelievable.

Vondoom903 Why? God made me just as I am and I can only be true to my nature. If I "sin" it is because I'm a defect from the factory and your god offers no warranty. It's His fault for shoddy workGodship.

I love this man's passion for truth, we must admit he's done' the math'. The reason he's in jail is because he's so brilliant! Jesus said we would be persecuted.

The reason he was in prison is because he's stupid, dishonest, and morally corrupt.

Kent was demonstrated in the court of law to have knowingly committed his crimes. You are having a paranoid delusion if you think you will go to prison because you believe something.

@Gray Au That is not true of my country, the United Sates. Here, we have freedom of speech, and can criticize any belief there is, and every country there is, including the good old USA. Kent Hovind did not go to prison because he was a victim of the law, he went to prison because he broke the law. Finally, what the hell does any of that have to do with going to prison for a belief you hold?

+1981andybt atheism is the selling of sin without the prospect of judgement. After death, no one gets a refund. What is your point?

Uncleball- no atheist is expecting any reward after death. No refund required. This 'afterlife' stuff is an invention of New Testament writers.

Why is it so hard to believe in editing errors in the Bible? A couple hundred years ago they edited out the entire book of Ezekiel.
