Looks like a cool product. The biggest improvement I can think of is making it able to be controlled from your phone via bluetooth. Thanks for pointing them out BrickTsar!

Man I wish 4DBrix would have stuck around. All these years later we still don't have a monorail track source, besides a random eBay seller that sells 3d printed straights. I was in a "dim age" when 4DBrix was making this stuff 😭

This is awesome! I've thought about making a monorail with their track! I wish they would make the decoupling Lego track from the 12 volt era because that track is so expensive now, this would be so cool in a Lego train yard!😄

I'm guessing if I could use it without computer like old 12v switches. I see there are three wires: one to ground and the + switched to right or left cable should move the motor.... I don't know the voltage but I suppose about 5v cause the hub is connected to USB port...
@Keircomb181

Awesome. I guess the next step is full block control programming meaning : a network running on its own for extended periods of time following schedules by using sensors to locate each train to avoid collisions and direct them to stations. Additional lights or info screens optional. Do you have some advice on that ?

I’ve heard switch activation along the mainline for passing sidings in remote areas while waiting to record trains in the early morning hours. It’s a really creepy sound!🚦

Really cool. Wireless or Bluetooth is prob the next thing. Hopefully that is available by the time I get to build a city with a permenant layout
@BrickTsar
@BrickTsar 7 жыл бұрын
+Mardigrasman23 that's the thing about model railroads - they require a lot of wires. Most run them under the table. I should show the bottom of my HO Scale layout - there are a ton of wires and more than most people would think. A wireless option would be neat and I think an app for a mobile device would be great

As the company grows perhaps there will be designs of smaller boxes. It's hard to do smaller scale working out of a garage but I'm sure they'll continue to get better. Another thing I didn't mention is I think it would be good to have connections for the wired that any wire could be used. This is good for anybody to get it set up and running but I like to run my own wires
@HDGamer2424
@HDGamer2424 6 жыл бұрын
These Cables are just normal Servo Cables. So you could get short servo extensions, cut them in half and solder 3 wires in between. Or you could also get pre made cables.

The OLD 12V motorised switch was a bigger box than that!
@goldfing5898
@goldfing5898 Жыл бұрын
@@LTD347 Not really, it was of similar size, 4 studs x 8 studs x 1 2/3 bricks height as opposed to 4-6 studs x 6 studs x 2 bricks high, so it was 2 studs longer but the 4DBrix is 2 studs wider and 1 plate higher.

BAT: is there anything lego that is worth more opened rather than sealed? If there is, why?
@BrickTsar

This is a very interesting question! One thing popped into my mind right away but I will try to do some research.
@wakebuildsleeprepeat2460

BrickTsar One thing I thought about was the NBA collectors; apparently there were autographed lego sports cards randomly inserted in the boxes. I also was considering back when lego did the chrome c3po inserted in the boxes. Although this is not true for every set, there is the possibility that the opened sets are actually worth more than they would be sealed. Eager to hear your research, knowledge, and thoughts!
@BrickTsar
@BrickTsar 7 жыл бұрын
Oh I missed your reply and that would fit perfectly with discussion. We did talk about the c3po and that was one of the first things I thought of. Considered it in the livestream tonight

Sounds too much like a pain in the butt - all those wires and having to have a pc near your layout. There has to be a simpler way using technic parts than forking out extra cash buying fungle gadgets for only one purpose.
@BrickTsar
@BrickTsar 7 жыл бұрын
+BrickToyTrains Fungle gadgets? Pain? There are like 3 pieces - it's super easy to hook up and the suggestion I had actually increased the work. How are you going to connect the "technic parts" ? There are only so many PF channels. And you'll still need power and the technic cables ain't cheap either
