After order to chaos and rescue all civs you can tell the AI to search and they will fan out and pick up weapons and restrain / report downed suspects across the entire map

It's cool that the AI can use crawl spaces to flank the player.

The tension build up was nuts when that woman came through the hole in the wall and Pairs wasn’t covering the rear.

This mission was so nerve wracking, I got up physically tired afterwards. They've done a great job here, even with some clunkyness here and there.

Twisted Nerve plays like a horror game. I remember when my friends and I played the level during early release, and A MF JUNKIE CAME OUT FROM UNDER THE BED WITH A KNIFE.

Also CPG, I really appreciate that you include what could be called your tactical blunders and talk about them. I learn so much watching you, and it's also taught me to appreciate my own blunders and learn from them.

Great work, close calls on those rear-sec. When you're mapping in the beginning of the mission, you can actually place markers that will appear mid-mission by rightclicking on the map, so you can create plans to reference later if needed. Great content as always CPairs, keep it up!

To keep stress down, the more non lethal arrests you make will improve there stress.

So I figured out that even if you don't have a full roster when going into a mission, it just auto fills with some AI. You could even start the mission alone, and it will still give you 4 AI members.

Would be nice to have at least one team more to provide security to the rear. Seems quite hard for the Commander to control the squad while being the guy to Cover everyones ass the same time. But I guess RoN is meant to be set in a slightly dystopical near future, where really small SWATs have to Operateur on their own😂

It doesn't sound messed up that you let the team do the work. You are the commander, your job is to ensure the protection of the team and to assure their well being. The commander should rarely fire his weapon and be primarily concerned with issuing orders to maintain combat effectiveness. But i must stress, check your corners and pull rear security.

I played the first two missions last night. I was able to use everything you've taught me and got A+ on both! Everybody came back alive! Just your DoorKickers series alone has helped me so much in playing tactically and winning.

Great job with this series! Love the attention to detail with your editing. Its refreshing. I purchased RoN when it was released in EA, but have not played much. I've been playing through the ironman campaign and trying to stay ahead of your progress to avoid spoilers! I will learn from failure! I also learned you must locate all civilians. I could not for the life of me could not find one on this map hiding under a bed ... extracted (thought it was bugged or something) and learned it was not enough to progress. Did it all again! lol

Cinematic camera angles are so dope! Seeing the AI clear and move through immersive environments like that is exactly the kind of thing people love from this genre.

I had a struggle with this one with my team shooting too many people so I couldn't get my two arrests. I've since split my team into lethal and less lethal and it's kinda amazing how they work so well together to go less lethal first and then lethal if a subject doesn't comply. It also helps A LOT with their sanity since you get points for arresting and detaining people without harming them.

One saving piece of utility is the door wedge. It's for peace of mind that at least your flank is clear because the door is completely barred. I usually bring 5 door wedges just for that.

Pairs, I'd recommend taking some time running practice versions of levels so you can get a little more familiar with the AI commands. Loving the series, hope you make it to the end!

Hey i didn’t see if one of your officers had any shotguns but i did a couple of missions of my one with one and he was VERY effective in tiny space or corridors. Nice video btw, love the cinematic shots.

There are 3 things I want fixed for realism's sake: 1. Adjustable reticle brightness 2. Pistol sights should have even sized dots or even the front sight dot slightly larger than the rears. 3. Non master hand on the pistol grip should be higher on the frame for a modern thumbs forward grip.

I played this last night. Had a meth head stuck in a closet and all 4 AI allies were SCREAMING at him to get out for 15 mins while I was off doing other things. The meth head was slowly coming out a few millimeters per minute. Eventually I was able to melee him out but it was funny to hear swat screaming from the other house "GET OUT GET ON THE GROUND" over and over.

This was the mission where I was one shot in the head as I ascended the stairs into the attic 👍 Didn't make that mistake the next time, chucked a banger up there first! One detained with a knife. Whereas your attic was empty! Love how variable it can be. I've been experimenting with CS gas instead of bangers in later levels. It's very fun. Whole squad of gas masks and just filling rooms with noxious clouds. The graphics for it are great. Also it might be seen as cheesy but I've been running a shield officer too who automatically takes point. Vital on ironman tbh and hey, the GIGN etc love using shields irl and they do work.

This game really manages to punish you as soon as you get careless! This confirms something I've learned the hard way: when you split your squad, you need to take care of rear security yourself. Also, I should probably use wedges more... Is it a deliberate choice to not have shields on your team?

Highly recommend tac speak mod mate. Absolutely game changing and helps heaps with commanding AI. You use voice commands and it works very well. Very easy install to.

Couple pointers: you don’t hold security enough, you’re almost always at the high ready instead of just ready, not a lot of situational awareness; always looking around at the scenery instead of observing the things around you, also no IR Laser. You want to make it as immersive as possible? Remember that as the last man in the stack, or team, you hold the biggest responsibility, you fuck up your entire team dies, and your team got lucky more than once

They need to add Ironman as a difficulty, and they need to use it to canonize computer teammates Idk if they do but if you can name your character that’s enough, if you complete and Ironman run they should be immortalized as one of the teammates you can recruit in future play thrus

I've tried over and over on some of the maps and while I believe it is possible to complete iron man, getting the "Hermit" achievement for no officers killed is nearly impossible with AI, or would require a player to solo every map consecutively. Even with the improved AI given every tactical advantage in full steel plate will die to a stray bullet to a limb or the head. The enemy AI is currently extremely averse to surrendering even when surrounded, gassed, etc, which makes capture objectives very difficult.

Great run dude. I just wish that there was a differentiation between tweakers and veterans in their ability to smoke you. Great game though!

This reminds me so much of the old school rainbow six games. The way you lose teammates and have to backfill your roster etc… A much better version of course.

Are we just not gonna talk about the AI brutally shooting a surrendering suspect? Hands were up, she wasn’t moving, she was on her knees, and the AI just said “nah” and shot her in the chest

interested to see how you do the brisa cove mission as I've been stuck there, AI seems to have trouble dealing with that mission still

I REALLY wish the pre-mission maps were at least north facing. I had to look at this map for a few minutes before realizing where everything was.

Are there lights on their helmets? Is it like a visibility thing?

I wanted to ask how u managed to get the lighting to work on the replay mode in that map? for some reason It only shows a small amount of lighting in the replay mode for me no matter what i try

Ngl I like this mission a lot. Didnt equip nvg on everyone the first time, so it didnt last long lol. Took me forever and a day to find that last suspect on second try though. Missed 1 freakin door in the larger house. I eventually sounded him out by walking around yelling at everything. "Cops n robbers" became "Marco Polo"... for *keeps*

Great stuff, very cool. The cinematic shots are nice but personally I would prefer if it stayed pov when in contact. Kinda breaks immersion. Still a great run though

Something I only discovered today, if making an arrest exposes you needlessly you can give orders to compliant civilians/suspects to move. Saved me during my third go at the streamer mission lol

2:24 i've had team members go incap without a paramedic even on the team - i'm guessing it all depends on how they get hit similar to civi/perp AI where they can also go incap opposed to being killed.

The geometry on some of these maps is a nightmare to try and clear safely, especially with such a small team

Will you ever play SWAT 4 with the elite force mod? I still haven't finished the campaign but anytime i play the game, it's so fun. I love ready or not, don't get me wrong, but, even after the 1.0 update and the hotfix, there's still a few issues i have with the game, including AI, lighting, voice lines/acting, UI, etc.
