Controller vs Keyboard & Mouse: Which Is Better In Fortnite?

In this video, I tried to settle the most contentious debate in all of Fortnite: controller vs keyboard & mouse. Now, I tried to answer this a while back in 2021, but since we're in Chapter 4 now, I decided to get a more concrete answer. That is why today, I got 2 of the best NA controller players, GMoney and PXMP, as well as two of the best NA keyboard players, Peterbot and Chimp, and I put them head to head in a 1v1 tournament to answer our question: which is better, keyboard and mouse or controller? Better shotty and long range aim. Better building Better editing Better turning Kbm is way better. Peterbot was a way worse fighter than gmoney; it was only his mechanics and aim that made him on par with him. And personally, I have 3200 hours in fortnite, and 2200 of those were spent in controller. If you put 2 versions of me against each other kbm vs controller, kbm would absolutely dominante. Maybe its cuz I dont use claw nor paddles, but my controller aim is way inferior to my kbm aim in all aspects.

@@VecPrime Got to practice, "got" to warm up. Take time to get in sync with the thumbstick to screen ratios. Those thumb muscles take longer to develop to match the mouse. It's a lot of muscle memory. Got to master variable speeds in tracking. That's more muscle memory and strength. It is harder "at first", but can be overcome. JTerra comes to mind. His tracking matches a mouse including long distance. Learning and moving up the XY senses will help getting close to mouse speeds.

@@VecPrime Truth, cause they can always switch to K/M. Tfue was the one that woke up to it. He said something like: If you want to beat K/M players you have to get good enough at the controller. Which made me think, you have to play like you are on M/K. Your goal is not to master the game, but to master the controller first so you can play like it's M/K or any style. I'm no pro, and more of a casual, but I can do a lot of what M/K players can do, with aim assist "off". And mostly because of the higher sensitivities that make it easier to match the movement and speed of the M/K.

I played both inputs the only Advantage for Controller is that you never runt out of space since you are using a stick, but the advantages epic gave to controller are just building a bit faster than kbm since you need one button to click which you have to use a macro to be able to do on kbm and Aim Assist which needs not explanation. but no matter what epic games do to make controller broken it will never work because it was built for casual and chill gamers to play sports and story games on but in a competitive multiplayers game its never fair to give them advantage or make them rely on their raw input

If only there's any touchpad controller out there, that will be way better, because Mobile gaming control is way better then any keyboard, mouse and controller. We just need a touch display screen along with the key mapping feature same like controller keymapping. And that would be way better if the game display in touch pad in real time.

You can shoot through walls ( In reality for the higer ping player your wall just takes longer to place hence it looks like you get shot through it.) You have the higher chance to Shoot first, Literally can watch a Zero pinger do quads edits and somehow he still shoots before you😂. I can tell you for a fact if all Pros had 60-70+ ping non of would be pros. You people really don't understand how hard low ping carry most players lmao.

It’s easier to get good on mouse and keyboard but it takes years to get good on controller. Also you have to compensate for less buttons and far worst aiming mechanic compared to keyboard. Once that’s mastered then you have g money, reet etc….

@@Gooboobananas yes you do not understand how good flicking is. Do you know how it feels to fully piece someone, have him lost with his back turned but because he has a mouse he flicks and kills you. You can’t do that on controller even if you max your sense just to achieve that your overall gameplay is messed up cause u can’t build and edit consistently. If you notice an analog has to pass a central point then to the direction u want to go mouse just goes there point and shoot.

Not gonna lie, I’ve been on PC for 8 years now and have always been a K+M purist for shooters, but after recently switching to gamepad for Fortnite, it just feels way better to me and I feel like my aim has improved. I’ve struggled with aiming on third person games compared to first person however. Can’t speak for builds because I exclusively play nobuilds.

you should get 30 random people to do a endgame arena match, play 5 rounds, 3rd place gets $25 2nd place gets $50 1st gets $100 and a shoutout on all platforms. I would love to see this. Im sure people would like this. Can you heart my comment pls
