Love this. I happened to randomly be rewatching The Girls Next Door and wanted to see a latest update on the girls. Found this clip, ended up watching the whole podcast and it’s soooo relatable especially from the 2000’s.

I loved watching The Girls Next Door when it came out because of Holly and Bridget!! I couldn’t stand Kendra, she was so arrogant, immature and snobby. Holly and Bridget were both so sweet and funny and they just seemed like really genuinely kind women, I am so glad that they both got out of such a disgusting situation, they deserve so much better.❤❤

Bridget, I have always loved you. Thank you for sharing. I think that people only say things about your face because the cheekbones are too prominent. It's f..up because its not your fault. chin up love. It will get better in time. Aging sucks. We cant all be Jlo.

I love them. But one thing doesn't add up (in my opinion). Holly broke up with Hef in 2008, got her own burlesque show, a new bf, and a TV show (Holly's world), yet she still invited Hef to her new show twice. One time, she visited the mansion and had a conversation about Crystal with Hef and said how much she cared for him, etc. Was this just for views or? Because this was two years after she left 🤔

It’s not the fact that they dated Hugh Hefner for money and fame that is the problem. It’s that they demonize the other woman who were there to do the same thing as them. They make themselves out to be the “nice girls” in their podcast and in Hollys books but they constantly contradict their own stories. They were clearly traumatized by their experience but they kept choosing it to advance their positions in life. Blaming the other woman and even Hugh Hefner for their trauma when they kept choosing it and still continue to choose to place the blame solely on other people as opposed to dealing with their own choices is not healthy or empowering. They openly admit to using Hugh Hefner but then have an expectation that they weren’t also being used by him? It’s clear they had a very transactional relationship. Kendra seemed to be the only one of the three who had a realistic idea of what her relationship with Hefner really was. Holly says in her book that it was clear that Kendra would leave if she didn’t get what she wanted aka Kendra stood up for herself, so she got treated better. So Holly and Bridget like to smear Kendra regularly in their podcast and books and interviews for not being afraid to stick up for herself when they were afraid to fight for theirselves. It’s clear that they both felt insecure when Kendra did not and they seem to hate her for it. The way they talk about her in their podcast makes it really easy to understand why Kendra never felt like Holly and Bridget were really her friends and that it was all work.

as a kinda autistic guy, this reinforces the idea that I should just avoid women and dating. It's hard enough for me to be socially calibrated, but this makes me think that it's impossible even for neurotypical males based on their comments on other videos. The consequences are too high and I don't want to be considered a bad guy because I can't tell when "yes" means "no" I get that this is about hollwood stuff, but also the same themes I see and hear regarding one night stands or other social interactions.

There is a problem with these pro-Holly viewpoints. For example, why is it that whenever Bridget Marquardt and Holly Madison are interviewed together, Marquardt never backs up what Madison is saying? Since she was there, too, at the same time and was/is considered Madison's best friend, this makes no sense. Marquardt seems uncomfortable with the conversation. 2. Marquardt has repeatedly delayed the release of her own autobiography on life in the Playboy Mansion, perhaps because of Madison's claims. 3. There are plenty of former Playmates and house guests who pointed out that Madison strategically aspired to be Hefner's wife and was angry that he did not follow through and chose Crystal Harris instead. It is possible that he chose Harris because she did not have an agenda. 4. Since Madison made over $3 million just at her time at the mansion, it is hard to believe she was financially shortchanged. It is true none of the women were paid at the beginning of GND and that was wrong. However, this was rectified. 5. If Hefner was not generous, why did he buy Marquardt a new convertible, pay for her education, pay off her student loans, and pay for Zoe Gregory Paul's green card? I can't think of a single boyfriend or male relative or friend of mine who ever offered to pay for anything other than tea or a fish dinner, (not that I am expecting it, just sayin'). 6. None of the Playmates or girlfriends had to do any cooking or chores, not the usual double shift duty eighty percent of women face, along with kids and a job. None of them, except for Tina Jordan and Zoe Paul, had kids. By the way, Hefner paid for Jordan's daycare and Zoe Paul's nanny and apartment. 7. Perhaps Hefner led on Madison about IVF and fertility, or perhaps he didn't know, or perhaps he was a dumb-ass. Insulting someone for weight, red lipstick, and short skirts hardly seems in the category of harassment, neglect, verbal abuse, lying, manipulation, etc. Callous, maybe, not verbally abusive. 8. All the women knew sex was required. They were girlfriends. They were contracted employees. There were standards and requirements for the job. Wilkinson, St. James, and Paul seemed to understand that. 9. Tina Jordan was his favorite girlfriend. When she left to pursue tv and real estate opportunities, he did not stop her. I don't recall any incident, except for Madison, where he tried to stop anyone from leaving. Doesn't add up to an abusive environment. 10. Madison asked him to enter the mansion and live there. Marquardt initially refused. He did not push either to do so. 11. I am afraid that what people claim does not add up. Also, people vilify Amber Heard, but there is plenty of evidence that Depp was verbally abusive, financially controlling, a substance abuser, threatening, and a liar. I don't believe her claims of physical/sexual abuse, but that happens a lot and I don't believe some of Depp's claims that she was abusive, either. Perhaps a liar and a forgery/fraud artist, but no evidence of abuse on her part. The story isn't always what you want to hear. 12. Blaming Playboy for Stratten and other incidents seems illogical, though those women are mistreated and damaged. Doesn't mean Playboy was responsible. This is in no way meant to harm any legitiate MeToo or Time's Up claims or women mistreated by Bill Clinton/Roger Ales or any victim of harassment, assault, stalking, abuse, or violence.

Huge contradictions, hypocrites, they want to have their cake and eat it too, talking about others and criticizing them for doing things that they did themselves or would do 😅

I’m definitely not an idiot. These women chose to go back and they choose to keep rehashing the experience because of m-o-n-e-y. It really is that simple.
