With Elisabeth Moss, Amanda Brugel, Madeline Brewer, Bradley Whitford and Max Minghella. Moderated by Mara Webster, SAG AFTRA Foundation Program Manager.
Season Three of THE HANDMAID’S TALE is driven by June’s resistance to the dystopian regime of Gilead and her struggle to strike back against overwhelming odds. Startling reunions, betrayals, and a journey to the terrifying heart of Gilead force all characters to take a stand, guided by one defiant prayer: “Blessed be the fight.”

"Lizzie is giving the performance of a generation" - absolutely, agree with Bradley wholeheartedly and feel his emotion every week with them all. She is backed by stunning cinematography, music and set design, as well as wonderful writing and a standout cast. If you're missing this show you're missing out.

The interviewer is actually so good. I wanted to point it out because it's not often someone is so skilled at asking the right specific questions, sensing where to elaborate and where to change tone, and just generally leading the conversation

Sorkin couldn’t have written it any better “misogyny is at the brainstem of right wing ideology, it is not a bug, it is a (design) feature” . You can see him carefully parsing his thoughts into something of which he’s not fully aware of the insight and profundity until the last breath leaves his mouth. It’s one thing to labour over a keyboard for hours carefully crafting the verbal diarrhoea to which he glibly refers later on, but to just extemporaneously expound with such eloquence and weight of subject matter is a delight to behold. And as others have said, his portrayal of one of the architects of the dystopian Gilead is far more layered, subtle, and for me empathetic than any of the other Commanders - definitely a case of “careful what you wish for”, on steroids

Has any body noticed that over time June makes breathing sounds with her nose that in its self seems to be a form of rebellion because she can't complain or speak out so the little sniffs sounds are her way of expressing herself.

this parallels real life so much it's frightening the more I see every day the more this tale keeps coming to mind. these characters portrayed the characters in the book quitewell I'm glad Rita/ cora The trail was combined by the actress the commander and his wife are of course older I think the guy sitting here is more like the actual commander. It's funny how the actors somewhat bring the book into the series in different ways. June is such a heroine and the actress portrayed her fantastically.

I can JUST imagine the Donald arriving in his helicopter, from playing golf in Mar-a-lago, looking down and seeing a sea of maids (whose pussies he cannot grab) knowing what the show stands for and how maids show up at protests against him... I relish the fact he could not do anything to stop this from being filmed a few blocks away from where he is living...

Are you insane, it is one of the most powerful things I've ever watched in my life. The acting is phenomenal, and brings a believability to the story that leaves me emotional, terrified, and aware at how easily the world could really slip into a crazy dictatorship run by psychopaths. This shit happens around the world, sex slavery, child brides, sister wives, religious cults, republicans, religious based fear groups like Christianity or more terrifying Catholicism. Then you have the quiet crazy of Scientology disguising insanity as a religion. The world sometimes seems just about on the cusp of falling into something as extreme as this show, and I've yet to watch an episode that hasn't left my jaw dropped and me full body sobbing. This show will live on as one of televisions best creations in every capacity. This season that just ended was just as fantastic as the first episode. The show is political, it is terrifying it's supposed to have that effect. It's to show how in a dystopian future like this there can terrifyingly be good intentioned people who actually bought into this as being the option of this being the betterment of humanity. Like we see this with Mrs. Waterford who went into this believing and willingly submitting into that role after being such a huge part of it's creation to be put into a place of pure submission and then as we meet other commanders we see the utter evil disgusting corruptive behavior that drove their intentions. It's so close to the world we already live in it's scary. No way, this show could go on and on and on and I won't miss a second of it.
