I have a similar mill I'm planning to convert for cnc operation and yours is definitely one of the better 'Z' axis motor mountings that I have seen, thank you for sharing :-)

hallo Kris, Bij toeval op het net aan het surfen op zoek naar info over de kolom frees kwam ik jou filmpjes tegen.. Ik heb juist tweedehands juist dezelfde gekocht zij het manueel Wat ik wilde vragen , heb je de dxf files nog van de montage stukken voor steppers en kogelomlopen. Ik kan het warm water opnieuw uitvinden , maar zou beetje stom zijn als jij al alles hebt opgemeten. natuurlijk als je ze niet meer hebt of niet wil delen voor een of andere reden heb ik daar begrip voor uiteraard. alvast bedankt Grtz Koen uit Antwerpen

Very clean, robust conversion. I used the same Z setup on my mill.

Hi Kris. Thank you for such descripitive video!. I have an RF-25 myself and wonder: 1) What diameter screw is the best? 16 or 20mm? 2) What screw lengths did you buy for X and Y (I see you use the original for Z). Did you have to machine the ends? 3) Is your system easy to use manually (like before the conversion)? Thank you!!

Would i be able to use nema 23 3NM motors if I use belt drive reductionon the drives.

I just bought an older rf25 at auction. I cannot seem to find a manual for it except for the scammer sites. Do you know where I might find one to download? Thanks for any help. This one has a bent or broken motor mount and a couple small things to be fixed. Thanks, Randy

Hi. Nice work. I have a mill like yours and will convert it to cnc allso. What size motors are you running? And why are you changing the ballscrew? Thanks

Thanks Lars, steppers are 4.5 Nm and nema 34. I have replaced the trapezium screw by ball screw to prevent the backlash. The trapezium screws have 15° backlash on the nut.

think i seen from the website youre from belgium as i'm living near there i was wondering if you bought the mill new and if so could you point me to the dealer as i cant seem to find any here official website said they sell in the netherlands but no dealer info unfortunately
