You have problems with your hydraulic LWR or maybe you even failed the main inspection because the system is not working again or has been leaking for years?
Then you will find the solution to your problem in this video!
Using a Fiat Ducato camper from 1991, I will show you how to remove the hydraulic scrap from your vehicle and how to convert the system to an electric headlamp leveling system.
I used parts from the junkyard from a 1990 VW Passat 35i B3.
For those who don't have a junkyard nearby or simply prefer to use new parts, I have a link below for you.
In principle, the electrical system can be installed in any vehicle with a hydraulic LWR. The connection diagram is always the same, but you have to see which servomotors fit into your old mounts, or you can simply rework them according to the motto: If it doesn't fit, make it fit!
At / palmen.camper there is a plan for connecting the lines in the vehicle and some more detailed photos of the conversion.
Since the "new" electrical system dates from around the same year as our Ducato 290 and the controller fits seamlessly into the dashboard, there shouldn't be any problems with the classic car report.
