one thing you can try in inkscape is select the satin stitch columns then go extensions>inkstitch>tools:satin>convert satin to stroke. this will turn satin column into a dashed line, you can then edit that line like a regular line (make it a solid line first is easier) this should give you the outlines of your shapes you could also try exporting the pes file as an image (PNG would be my choice) then you can trace the image in inkscape. a png will also import in silhouette studio and autotrace so long as it has transparent background, if it does not you can trace it as normal. if people have SCAL that will also import some embroidery files

Wow that’s a rough project. I never even thought to try this. I would agree that if this is something you want to do, it’s much easier and probably better to trace the design in Inkscape with the bezier tool and then hide the pes file before re saving it. Thanks for doing all of this! That’s some real dedication!!

Hey, would you guys be able to help me? I used your videos to use Inkscape and made a camper van emblem. .... but when I transfer the image from svg to pes then to the machine, the bookmark on the machine shows my full image but when it puts it in a Hoop, part of the image is cut off. I have resized and moved it 10x . What do you think could be going wrong ? I look forward to your help!! Thank you!!
