Great, step by step instructional video for us lefty double bass player’s on taking a typical right footed double bass pedal and switching it to a left footed double bass pedal. Although most double bass pedal’s are fairly intuitive to switching the master pedal to the left, this video takes all the thinking out of the equation. If the black hex bolts are stuck, DO NOT FORCE THEM! I was able to get it loose by heating the surrounding metal on the kitchen gas stove for 20 seconds. Wear thick gloves! I already snapped two allen keys before luckily finding this workaround.

I just noticed that the beater holders are completely different from each other....I wonder if one would feel the difference. It makes the slave beater angle completely independent of the footboard angle, which is nice. I wonder if one could swap in the 910 Speed Cobra beater holder hardware for the master pedal and maybe make a better match. I guess with a double pedal there are always going to be differences in how they feel anyway. Also interesting to see that the slave pedal doesn't have an 'ear' for mounting the spring assembly, in case somebody wanted to make a single pedal from it. The TAMA parts manual show these to have that ear, as well as all the product pics I've seen. No reason to make a special frame assembly just for slave pedals when you can simply use the parts for the single version. BTW, the loctite they use on screws can sure cause problems, especially when the steel used for the screws is cheap. I disassembled an older 910 SC to customize the footboard and ended up stripping half of the bottom screws (cheap steel phillips head). Had the same problem when I converted my Sonor double last week...same loctite and same cheap steel phillips head screws. Sometimes you can heat the assembly with a heat gun to soften the loctite, but not using loctite should be the rule. We aren't building spaceships for crying outloud. :D

I just tried flipping another Tama Speedcobra, the HP910LWN. Can confirm the process is straight forward and very similar. Unfortunately the rolling glide cam on the slave pedal was screwed SO tight that I ended up stripping the screw while trying to unscrew it (yes I used the right sized key). I really don't know why it was so stuck. Thankfully tama sells a lot of spare parts individually so I'll replace it. For now I borrowed the shaft and cam from my single tama pedal.

Nice instructional, question: is there's a way to install another slave pedal to the double one? Ended with one slave on each side to the frame shaft. Like the Offset.

Greeting, I bought a Tama 900 HP900PSWL double pedal lefty and when I go to the bearing edge they are like with pressure they don’t move like your that they fell out. Let me know if you know how to remove the pressure bearing and thanks
