Im rebuilding a crash damaged Mercedes C63 W204 saloon which i bought cheap from auction. After fixing most thing mechanical we are onto the cosmetic side & it actually worked out cheaper to buy a Black Series bodykit for the C63 than it would to replace the parts like for like. The black series kit it alot wider and way more aggressive than a stock C63, only thing is that m

when drilling fiberglass, run your drill in reverse until you go through the gel coat. this will make sure there are no weak spots as a result of drilling

Fit rear bumper first then you can line up the rear arches to match skirts and bumper. Also bond the tops of the skirts to the car. Brilliant channel and content mate your a ledgend

Hey mat, when I was fitting sideskirts to my mk6 golf we used the glue to stick windscreens on (the black stuff) for the perimeter around it and then drilled it into the bodywork of the car. Worked a charm and kept the inside water-tight. Hope this helps!

Looks like you going to have to bond the the side skirts, if your doing it remember to tape the edges, so not to get bond on the body where you don’t want it, but once it’s stuck it’s stuck won’t be able to remove it without breaking it, so repair chassis first, good luck with it looking forward to see it finished, Great content as always,keep up the great work

Be intresting to see the rear arches from the side skirts around the rear doors, the rear bumper upto that gap won’t be an issue (rear door) this will Be issue.

the fan being on could also be a faulty coolant temp sensor. this builds epic love it!!!

It’s worth using a heat gun to loosen up the material when trying to get perfect fitment on the kit… look brilliant though mat!

It's a write-off with a fiberglass body kit, not the c63 to tuck away for the future. Classic car buyers are usually uber picky so it's best to only store mint low mileage examples.

I fitted some side skirt like these before. I cut the old clips off the one U have taken off and stuck them to the new ones worked a cheat. Maybe u can stick the new side shirk to the old one then cut off all the old side skirt u don’t want there. Then they can clip on and off

With my C class I had the fan running constantly as well, with a little research I found it to be the air conditioner sensor.

I had the same issue with the fan constantly running, my ac pressure sensor was faulty and had chopped wires once I replace and re-wired the sensor it fixed the problem, hope this helps

The fan always on, could be due to a faulty fan control module. They are located usually near the headlight.

Not sure if this helps, i repaired a crash damage c class w204 few years ago, my fan was constantly on full power, i changed the fan and temperature sensor both did not work. Few days later my cimate controls stopped working. I replaced it and the fan began to operate normally. Try to operate climate controls if the it lags or doesnt work, try replacing it and it may fix the fan problem.

You should look into replacing the screen on the dashboard. You can replace it with one that will stick out like with the later models giving you a bigger screen you can have carplay or android auto with and will improve the interior so much

Air con will be my guess why your engine fan is on, the air conditioning pressure sensor if it thinks the pressure is too high it puts the fan on to cool the condenser. Is the air con pressure switch OK and not damaged in the accident? Although I have a 2011 c63 saloon and mine failed and did exactly what yours has, now I recall the sensor is low down on a pipe so it might be the wiring being open circuit causing your fan issue. If you wire up the sensor and plug a sensor in the fan should stay off if the sensor is OK.

Continuous cooling fans is a symptom of a failed aircon pressure sensor, so in your case it's probably a working sensor recording no aircon pressure as there is no gas!
