In this video, we take on the challenge of fixing this motorhome's old solar system and installing a new one. Pat needed a solar upgrade because she wanted to have usage of her 50a plug and generator. She has a pretty large power need with an air conditioner, fridge/freezer, toaster and fans.

Hi Michael! Your videos have helped me so much. Thank you. I am now at the point where I need to purchase my solar panels. I only have about 8' x 8' of roof space available (I have short bus with roof deck). My plan is to use 450W panels (2 of them) to maximize the roof space that I have. However, these panels are pretty heavy (50 lbs). If I use heavy duty brackets and anchor them securely from inside the bus, do you think it's reasonable to use such big panels??

Mike! It's been a long long time from a land far far away since you checked in last. I gotta tell you I was wondering. It's good to see your safe and alive but dude, don't wait so long to post next time. I'm not sure if it's a you tube bug going arou8nd to creators so, I'll just ask you a few questions to make sure your ok. 1. Are you doubting your ability to make a good video. 2. Are you thinking your not interesting enough to be in your video's. 3. Are you down on yourself way too much. If you answered yes to any or all of these questions I can give you the cure right now but you have to pay attention: First, never leave Dale on a charge longer the a few hours, he will explode. Secondly, we love you man.... and I'm straight so don't be thinking that way. Third, you fall into the unique category of having the presence on camera of being a good egg and an honest guy, that's got a lot ot good stuff to share. So this part is critical to your recovery, that is don't ever think we don't want to hear from you, or that your not a very cool guy that's got an amazing gift for imparting wisdom and knowledge to people who live to hear your ideas. Now if all that worked, your should be feeling better.
