Is it very difficult to switch a propane to gas?

Basically you have to replace the whole fuel system. The carb, tank, and all the plumbing is different.

Bruce got you covered there ... I keep remembering the 1970s with gasoline shortages, cars sitting in line for hours just to get five gallons, having a propane tractor might allow you to get work done. That's why people wanted them back then.

@@jvin248 propane was also very cheap at the time LP gas tractors were being made. LP gas burned so clean that wear and tear on the engines was minimal. Compared to gasoline tractors the LP tractors ran very cheap and lasted exponentially longer. Also the LP tractors were about 10% cheaper than diesel ones. Plus the LP tractors lasted longer for a lower cost of operation. The downfall of LP gas was the problem of transporting fuel to the field and storing it on the farm. Plus the price of fuel started to go up and the pricing advantage wasn't as great. To this day many of the irrigation engines still burn LP gas due to the longevity and reliability of the engines.

I wouldn't touch a zetor tractor very difficult to get parts for these with a Belarus you can get parts for the tractor also they have very poor build quality
