Hey! I just wanted to say, especially as you're a small starting channel I just discovered today: very excited and impressed to see where you go with all this! But also, goodness, I hope it's not too much effort or burnout to make two different videos on the same dish! I very much appreciate the work that you put into all of your videos so far, as I know it can be difficult filming and editing videos alone, if that's what you have to put up with! I understand if you're doing this for work OR hobby, so I hope either way you don't feel to pressured or perfectionist in the face of an internet landscape that can be very random and forgiving. You definitely deserve to not have idiots or crappy algorithm take you down in inspiration or enjoyment of what you do! I love your adorable, hilarious, meme-y personality, and I enjoyed your insights and personal experiences. I do however really enjoy the more gentle, texted format here. It's very appreciated and also accessible to me being able to read or pause a recipe and follow along with it, and I'm hoping to convince my roomies to try making this recipe with me some time thanks to you! Absolutely LOVE both formats! (I'm very biased, autistic and fat however, lol. Your comedy and cooking are appeasing to the neurospicy. One format caters to unga-bunga brain, the other for tired or overstimulated brain.) It's very enlightening how much research and advice you give (and I can tell you had your own times of trial and error to be able to give it off camera.) Most channels and TV I see, even big studio ones, basically just tell you to follow directions without really being mindful of different living styles, education or budget. Now-- I'm very biased in this way and it doesn't necessarily have to sway how meticulous you have to be in your vids, but the fact that you put in that work and did some explaining of your process and decisions was very notable to me. For creative and money reasons, I get why you do the things you did, and for culinary reasons I can follow along better! (I'm thinking of the dragon meat video where you very kindly gave ways to cook the steak with and without a probe thermometer, for example.) Again, the 'tism also wants to gobble down all food knowledge like Fallin, so take my enthusiasm with a grain of salt. Very nice video and format editing as well! If you get very popular and decide to ever upgrade in camera or set dressing or whatever, I can understand the quality going up in time naturally. But! I was very stoked with the fact that you did as many different angles, takes, screen text as you did! Channels with less of an eye, budget or time would normally not go through all that effort, but you put in so much effort and appeal! As someone into art and design as well, I just know that it takes work and composition, and you do so well, ESPECIALLY with the efforts on food presentation! I quite like and find it charming that you don't hide the fact that you have silly little bloopers or even can have mistakes and learning experiences though, like about the hotpot presentation. (Spoiler though: still looks damn good, and it's not like you're taking photos for a magazine or something! I hate shrimp and want to try this so bad because you did so well. Possibly switching shrimp out for marinated chicken!) Anyways, I'm SO sorry for the incredibly long and gushy message. I just see a diamond in the rough and a lovely channel in the making, and I just wanted to show you my appreciation and perspective about things I enjoyed in everything I've seen in all the videos I've seen from you! Also it's like 3 AM and I'm super tired with a headache hoping to go back to sleep, so I'm just in joy and delirium right now, lol. Take care, of yourself and your future, and I'm watering at the mouth to see where everything goes! You got this!!

Oh my gosh thank you for this lovely message that you spent time writing so late at night. It brought a tear to my eye :’) I can’t explain to you how extremely touched I am by all your observations and attention to detail 🥲 I’m also neurodivergent (ADHD) so it made me laugh when you said the two formats appease your unga-bunga brain and your tired and overstimulated brain. I totally get it. With this channel, I really want to be able to continue providing two formats for the same recipe because like you said different people might enjoy different things or even the same people might enjoy different things at different times. For the upcoming videos, I’m slowly trying to streamline how I make them so that it takes less time for me make multiple videos of the same dishes. Next up I’m testing making single dish recipes with a close captioned format and same video with me narrating format and then maybe a “bigger longer” video with multiple recipes in one (third format i know??). I’m not sure if it’s too ambitious or if I’m overwhelming or confusing people with what I’m trying do so I gotta figure out how to make it clear what type of video each is going to be so that people can just pick the one they want to watch. I thought of maybe labelling them things like with [no talking] and [narrated] might help. The main goal really is just me testing different things to fine tune eventually into 2 good formats that can either help people for calm and gentle recipes to follow along and one that is more entertaining and helps me connect with the audience as a person. I’m just rambling now hahaha. I’m so happy you’re interested in trying out the recipes for yourself! Do let me know how it goes, I hope it ends up tasting good or if I didn’t, let me know and I can improve hahaha! I’m trying to keep the audience in mind and go with more accessible ingredients/equipment wherever possible and I think my explanations/reasonings for steps has been helping a few viewers so I’ll keep doing that ^^ I have a decent camera that I’m learning to use and I pair that with my phone for the multi angles and compositions. It definitely takes a super long time to film due to all the different angles but I think it keeps things interesting visually! I will keep improving my editing and video quality over time and hopefully deliver a more comfy viewer experience. I’m not too concerned about the videos looking very studio like or professional because I want things to feel more approachable :) that’s why I like including the mistakes too so that we can all learn and feel like “yeah I could make that!” ^^ Again thank you for this sweet and wonderful write up. I appreciate everything you’ve said! Hope you continue to enjoy the videos that I make and feel free to give me feedback on whatever you think I could improve on :D have an awesome rest of your life

What about the mandrake omelet? It might be hard to guess about the ingredients since it's hard to tell if mandrakes are as sweet potatoes or some kind of fresh ginger. They seem a little bit like both.

@@kezia-lemonthorne2507 hmm there's a variety of sweet potato called ginseng sweet potato which have the most similar look and I'm assuming taste like regular sweet potatoes. But i imagine they are hard to come by. For accessibility, skinny looking sweet potato/potato/yam would probably have to do

If you ever plan to make food from the treasure bugs episode, I suggest making the gems on the jam/sorbet kohakuto candy, since I've seen other recipes using gummies or jello but it can be unrealistic/flimsy/not crunchy or gemlike enough.

Thank you for the suggestion!! I was thinking considering kohakuto as well but also I wonder if it would combine well with jam without ruining the texture/structure 🤔 maybe I’ll conduct some experiments
