Theres plenty places you need to visit. For best nature, you go to alahan panjang. Best beaches, pesisir/painan. If youre plan to staying longer, that is the place you need to visit. Padang is students city, so it will bore you soon

The story behind of rendang is, when Sumatran fisherman of padang took a sailing it takes days or weeks. So the mums of padang in the past did their creativity make a dish that would last so long then it became rendang that we known today , even this dish can last in months by only put on ur dining table without refrige or chemical preservatives such in this modern era use. More n more Sumatra 🙌😍

Rendang jika baru dimasak itu lunak dagingnya, jika sering dipanaskan akan menjadu semakin keras... Rendang bisa tahan hingga 1 bulan

Carlos itu bukan ( is not ) sayur asem, tapi sayur bening just plan soup asian spinach dan corn. you dont need to eat whats they serve you on the table, just eat what you like so they wont charge what you dont touch or eat. Padang restaurant like that unless you tell them from the beginning what you want to eat they only bring certain dish. I love Padang food.

The orange stuff is seasoned grated coconut (mixed with chili and other seasoning) That is not Sayur Asem.. I think that is spinach soup... Cmiiw

carlos sir, when you go to lampung city part indonesia you can try amazing food here like these, tempoyak chilies, casava banana, chicken ketchup with black pepper, pindang fish sours, if you want see elephant you can visit way kambas park and pahawang beach and mutun beach
