Today we chat to Paul Maciel, known as The Secret Jozi Chef, he has been in the food industry for over 20 years, having founded the award winning restaurant Pronto, before moving on to create The Cookery, the much loved social cooking based in Joburg. At The Cookery he hosts team buildings and a variety of social cooking experiences in the professional kitchen with a home kitchen feel.
Paul has a belief that cooking is a natural process, and that if you love eating good food, then you can totally cook great food. With Paul’s Luso Indian background, he has many wonderful memories around food, always creating a wonderful and happy space where the sharing of the knowledge of food was almost as important as the food itself. He shares that love and passion with many at The Cookery.
