I really like the bond of your family, it reminds me of when my favorite cousins, aunty and uncle are around. But in my fam, when it comes to washing the dishes the ones who didn't help cooking are the ones who's gonna help to clean the dining table and wash the dishes, it's a rule my aunty set (because we used to live in her house in the city)

when I'm in manila my mom used the knorr sinigang powder but if where in province my aunt and lolo always used the real tamarind and its really better than the powder🥰

Grandpa is so very right. ❤ We use real tamarind to make the Sinigang sour. Those commercially prepared powder taste so overly & synthetically sour. 😅

Did you know that sinigang is the world's best soup? This is according to tasteatlas. Last year it was recognized as the best soup with vegetable something like that. Now it's being served in various restaurants around the world.

I'm quite surprised of how you cooked sinigang. For me, I cook pork sinigang with gabi (taro) and I put the Knorr Sinigang sa Gabi Mix. Saka parang ginisa yung sibuyas sa una. Ako kasi, according lang 'to sa natutunan ko growing up, hindi ko ginigisa sa mantika ang sibuyas, nilalagay ko sya pagkakulo ng tubig na kasama na yung baboy. And btw, I'm from Mindoro, may mga ibang type pa ng sinigang na mas madalas lutuin dito sa'min katulad ng sinigang sa kasoy. Usually kasoy pang-asim namin kung isda isisigang tapos pinakagulay nya malunggay o kaya talbos ng kamote. Mas madalas sinigang na isda niluluto namin kasi taga-isla kami. Pwede ring hilaw na mangga pang-asim tapos nilalagyan din namin ng balanoy (basil). Ako pinaka-preferred ko na sinigang yung sa mangga. 😁

Heyyyy! You might wanna try adding kimchi to sinigang! I had it in a local korean bbq resto here in Cebu, PH. It was so goooood! Might suit their taste better :)

you can go to philippines market or store to find string beans and kangkong and okra.the sinigang is best when it completes recipe,but anyway ur good at cooking next time try bulalo

i prefer the very sour sinigang. but some people adjusts the sourness by decreasing or increasing the amount of powdered mix. i know people who cant handle the the sourness so they lessen it.

Yung pinag hugasan ng bigas masustansyang pang sabaw sa sinigang.

i suggest boiling the sinigang powder together with minced garlic and onions in a half litter water fir about 5 mins to lessen the sour flavor of it... after that add the pork and do the rest.. if you have pork fats/skin, it's better to put it 3mins early than the pure pork meat ..you can also add a spoon full of dissolved corn starch if you prefer it more creamy like texture for the soup..only optional btw... it's just a suggestion but maybe you can try ,.❤️❤️❤️

Luzon, Mindanao, eastern and central Visayas will use tamarind. While only Western Visayas uses Batuan(as this tree is only endemic in Western Visayas) as a souring agent.

Sinigang is great(what a fav) but I bet Korean's will like Tinola and Pochero better. I hope you could try it and share to others too. For pochero you can use either beef,pork or chicken. Cabbage/lettuce, sili,sweet potatoes, also use knorr cubes for better seasoning. Cook it just like how you cooked the sinigang. Same with Tinolang manok(I think it's quite similar to samgyetang? because it's chicken soup), I prefer you marinate the meat first so it will not taste bland and saute it, if u have lemon grass it's highly needed but if none, you can use ginger. Put some raw papayas(the one that is still green and hard) and if you have dahon ng sili(I dunno what's the exact name u can search it haha)I prefer u to put a lot of it to add more spice and ofc put some chili because I like it spicy and I know u like that too. If you can't find it you can use cabbage nalng. You can search online as reference and other ingredients, I really hope you try it because there's more Filipino dishes that are good as sinigang but are underrated, probably these will suit Korean's taste better. Hope u could try. Godbless💓
