Taro's an Asian root vegetable, that's like a vanilla-tasting potato. Try it out!
1 taro. This was 2 lb.
Salt, water.
Begin by removing the skin with a knife.
Cut into 1cm chunks.
Soak in water to prevent oxidation.
Boil 2L of water with 2 tsp of salt. Preheat oven to 450.
Boil taro cubes for 10 minutes, or until fork tender. Don't cover, or it may boil over!
On a greased cast iron / baking sheet, spread taro into one layer... and bake for 10 minutes.
Flip them all over and bake another 10.
Enjoy with soy sauce / oyster sauce / dipped in straight sugar!
