We had Pomelo tree(Batabi Lebu) in our ancestral home in Bhadreswar. My thakuma ( Amma) used to make salad , adding salt , chilli and rock salt( lebu makha). Today sitting in Ireland I am watching ur video and salivating . Your video wonderful. It actually quenches the thirst of craving different food.

Considering almost all of us possibly have learnt to cook from our mothers, the way he verbalised the entire inheritance of his cooking skills and gestures, was just amazing. I guess that part is so true for all of us. I learnt all the cooking and kitchen skills from my Maa. I couldn't have possibly verbalised it so simply the way Dr Banerjee did. Thanks for this awesome episode. This one was huge infact.

Best thing about this video is the nervousness of the hosts.. Looks so natural and homely and contrasting to AB's confident dada figure.. I watched the entire episode with a smile in my face because of this overall feelings.. I could relate to it and connect with it from the very beginning when Insiya starts speaking with her messy hair which usually we used to see few years ago in our homes too.. now-a-days we are always so decked up and conscious about image building that this natural and homely atmosphere is lost from every program, household and person too.. loved it immensely.. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The fact that you didn't showcased Dr. Banerjee or made him feel like a typical guest by Address him as this or that because of his achievements, kept it so casual and real where he could cook, share the stories casually or provide opinions as just any "dada".. is appreciable to a great deal. And again.. what a great man he is.. what a vision!! You are doing an amazing job bong eats.

How the gentleman speaks, addresses, picks up issues gently and leaves them, reminisces and above all, mixes pure scientific observation into the art of cooking, is something to experience. Loved this episode ❤️❤️. Professor Abhijit Banerjee is a great cook indeed👌👌. Sustainable food is panta (pakhal) bhaat with Masoor dal fritters (a balanced diet for the poor families)...it justifies the concept of how to get more from the limited ingredients available in poor families. Professor Banerjee is absolutely correct when he says "I am pessimistic about our ability to predict" and also that discrimination part...that is so true..Words of Wisdom. Simplicity is the trademark of the genius afterall and so is Prof Banerjee.

This episode was so good! So nicely structured, and conversations so needed. The positivity Dr. Banerjee shows about India brings hope to people like us staying outside India who will always hear comments like, "Ki achhe deshe pherar moto?" Finally, I had noticed some people write in the comments of your teaser," Address him as Nobel laureate economist... " and here he is asking you to call him Abhijitda😂. I have also seen a lot of his other interviews regarding this cookbook, where everyone is gushing because they are talking to a Nobel laureate. This video and its simplicity just shows him as a next door person, which feels so good. Keep making more such videos. More power to you!

Abhijit da is so humble in his approach that at the end, he was helping hosts in clearing the used dishes and left over food so naturally and so amicably......he is really a talented and good human being.

Honestly speaking, I had no idea that the Nobel Laureate and Economist Mr. Abhijit Banerjee is also a stupendous chef. He has also published his cooking book named as" Cooking to Save your Life"- He is a gentleman in true sense and his humbleness and sense of humour is so appealing. It is again proved, real knowledge is not boastful. Rather it makes people humble. What an impressive episode! I watched it till the end. " রান্নাঘরে কে? "🙂

Such a wholesome episode . Thoroughly enjoyed the conversations and the food , they complimented each other beautifully. Thanks for bringing us this . Another thing that I learnt today from Abhijit da is that I also mimic my maa's hand gestures while cooking. Nobel prize winner and everything still "khati bangali" at heart ❤️
