I have been using roti maker since last 1.5 years, struggled alot initially on how to use it correctly, but somehow figured it out. The dough has to be little softer than the dough we use to make roti manually and I use little bit more oil so that I can use less of dry flour to make roti else the roti gets hards, also the roti doesn't gets cook properly on a roti maker so I cook it on a gas burner only

Thank you for being honest with your review. I tried this machine 3 years ago. After several attempts gave up. My results are exactly like yours. The machine is sitting in kitchen cabinet now. Some video suggest trick is in amount of water ( stickiness) and let the dough rest for at least 30 mins. So far my results are discouraging. There is another completely automatic machine Rotimatic. However cost is VERY high $1000 US Dollar!

@@asthasingh8431 I just got one here in the US, yes I highly recommend it to save time and effort in the kitchen. It needs to be used correctly with soft dough and on highest temperature. I see too many KZfaq videos where it is used improperly so people give bad reviews. I am not a fan of gimmicky things, and usually like versatile few appliances in the kitchen, this is definitely one of them! I have made bajra and Makki ji roti on it as well and they come out like a dream. Definitely get it.

I have started from roti maker and it was perfect for me. Now I can do by hand easily. Tip: Make your dough rest to develop enough gluten. It will become much softer and coat some dry flour before putting in to roti maker. That will create enough surface resistance on hot plate to avoid slipping away. I used roti maker for 2yrs without any issue. (With all puffed ones in result) Yes you said right, It needs skills. I would say if you kneed perfect dough it won't be that difficult. For someone new, it will take 1 to 2 weeks to adjust with roti maker technique. Once you learn it will be "maska" (easy) to make dozens of rotis. Liked your way of explaining though!

I am using it for few years. To make it pop as in ads you have to do the following: 1. Make the dough as soft as you can. There is nothing like too soft. 2. Make the atta balls small. I use 35g to 40g per ball. 3. Make the atta ball flat by pressing in your palms or pressing by fingers. That will stop it from slipping out as shown in the video. 4. Cover both sides of the flatten ball with dry atta before using in the roti maker. 5. Give one good press to make the roti. As the roti maker has hot plates in both sides you have to do it in one go. Not like in the video, where it was attempted many times to make it thinner. 6. Cook one side like is a tawa keeping the roti maker top plate open. Don't overcook. Just little popping will do. 7. Turn and cook the other side like before. Again don't overcook. 8. Turn one more time. Now close the top pan of the roti maker. Your roti will pop up fully and slide out! 👍 9. Last but not least always use the rotimaker at highest temperature. Actually ones having no temperature control are better. Hope this helps

For making rotis with roti maker, you need to have very soft dough. Recommended to use 1.25 portion of water for 2 portions of aata. Then roti gets thin and flat when you press first time itself. Also you need to let roti a bit golden from both the sides approx 45 seconds to 1 minute each before you press it for puffing. I use roti maker occasionally and result is good.

I found it better to use the roti maker, after kneading the dough separately, as you said, with more moisture. Besides, with use, I notice that the roti maker surface got rougher and then it stopped slipping at the initial moment. Slipping happens when it is too hot. For dough composition, I use the following and it works: 1. 550 g dough 2. 310 ml water 3. 1 tablespoon oil 4. 1.5 teaspoon salt (or as you want) It is important to store the kneaded dough under a wet cloth for 15-20 mins, and then make balls that should also stand for 5-10 mins. I've used Bajaj Vacco (which I am going to discard after 3 years of use). If you want the roti to come out in a swollen state, the following works for me. 1. After 5 minutes of warming, place the ball at the back as shown in the video. 2. After pressing and flattening, keep it open for 10-15 s and then turn the roti over. You may want to smear some oil with a spoon's bulging end during these 10-15 s. 3. Leave the roti in this turned state for 40-50 s. During this time again, you might want to smear oil with the bulging part of a spoon. 4. Now turn the roti, and gently close the upper lid. If all goes well, the roti will swell and come out as you often see in the ads.

Most mothers did a lot harder work raising a family and keeping it together. Of those, professional women, like my Mother, worked both inside and outside the home. Many mothers completed their education on a part-time basis while shouldering all other household responsibilities. Of these, meal prepatation, though time-consuming, was the least demanding task. Making Rotis is a no-brainer in comparison!

I do believe roti making is not so tough with practice . But people who dont have time or the skills to make rotis, should give the Roti maker a chance. With little practise and following good tips like making really really soft atta, and not turning the chapati too often etc, each of the rotis will turn out fluffy. Love your polite attitude and your cooking is really good. But please don't give incomplete information on gadgets. This art of roti making is excelled with patience, practice and try and error😊

The trick to making roti using roti maker is to make sure the dough is extra soft by adding more water. If you use same consistency of water that you use for regular handmade rotis then the rotis will be hard and cracks will be formed when you press them on the roti maker

@@piroskavigh6359 the trick lies in the pressure you apply. If the pressure is too much then the dough will crack. Also make sure the light of the roti maker is on green so that the heat is at the right temperature to press the rotis because if the heat temperature is right then the roti will press down smoothly. It took me several attempts to perfect the rotis so good luck

I have been using prestige roti maker for 2 months now. You just need really soft dough and dust it lightly with flour after making the balls it doesn’t slip. Pressing one time is enough and turn the roti with a gap of 25-30 seconds not so quickly. It come out perfectly.

U made many mistakes 1: ball was not soft enough in start 2: u didn’t flattend the ball thats why i kept sliding 3: u were putting it on very edge. It should b slightly away fron centre 3: u kept turing roti which is not good. U have to gice one side enough time to cook and then flip.

The key to making a thin, soft and fully puffed roti in a roti maker is kneading the dough a little sticky and then putting it in the roti maker. This is a tested and proven method.

@mannyb3679
@mannyb3679 4 жыл бұрын
@@book--worm That's right. You'll need to knead the dough with enough water so that when u pull the dough from the inside of the bowl, it'll look like cobwebs/ spider-webs. And stick to your hands. U can lightly dust ur palms and make balls of the dough and then flatten it and then put it slightly above midway on the roti maker. Cheers! 👍🏻

Not roties.before puting th we have to flatten.not laddus.now again I am using.simply pressing rotors outside n frying them on rotimaker.applying oil on two sides, not pressing from upside, turning two sides number of times.i got soft n fully cooked tasty rotors.tq. so no need to throw it out or put aside.
