Very nice recipe.. in Assam this is a traditional recipe.. and very healthy for my gym Bros.. we even add raw papaya to it which is very good for digestion as it balances the alkaline nature of the food.. lots of ❤️❤️..

This is very commonly cook in Manipur, we call it "yen kangsoi" ( chicken stew), we generally add any winter veggies especially potatoes/ tomatoes/green peas/mastard leaves/winter leek/chives/cilantro/culantro etc. and a little bit fermented dry fish called " ngari" is a must in every kangsoi(stew)..and of course, with a lot flavouring herbs... love from Imphal.

There are two types of chicken stew... Brown and white.. Never used garlic, only ginger and the whole condiments, with the addition of winter vegetables. To thicken the gravy... only corn flour is used. Very wholesome and healthy.. Tastes heavenly with bread. 😊

We make this in Manipur with no oil or masala at all. The flavour comes from onion, ginger n garlic, dhania.
