Or you can slice them very thin with a mandoline and toss with white balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, garlic powder and a little chopped parsley. It easier and very delicious. You can also just toss with French vinaigrette.

The first time I encountered beets they were pickled, my mom had a thing for them. I thought they were gross. I grew up and was assured that beets were wonderful and that I had "never had them cooked correctly ". There are very few vegetables I don't like so I was game... Um... they didn't taste good. They tasted just as utterly horrible as my mother's pickled beets. I understand people love them, but where I am concerned, the more for you. Also, you can have *all* the lima beans too.

@@YTistooannoying 🤣🤣🤣 I feel the same way about oysters. People always say "You should try them this way or that" and so I do. I do not like them in any way, shape or form.

I love beets, especially plucked up from the garden and then - anyway I can have them! YUMMY - and you’re right, steam or lightly sauté those beet greens! The last time DH planted beets in our garden, they reseeded themselves for three years!

I'll be honest. I've never seen this one, but beets and pistachios seem like such a good combo . On star anise, I use a pestil and mortar to mill the seeds , never grated . Thanks, I'll have to try this.

😋 I love roast beets and goat cheese. ❤ You should do a short on roasting and peeling beets in your college cooking videos. My rising senior loves roast beets. I’m not sure she will let me teach her. She would probably listen to you though.

Yes love beets prepared any way. Boiled is about the only way I have time for,nd the wife loves em as well. Gotta try this ,cause pistachios are always here. Chef can show us how you prepare the beet greens. Always wanted to make it ,but we would probably just make em in garlic nd oil. Thank you Chef..

I love beets and usually just roast them. The greens are great in salad; beet greens are potassium-rich.

I "discovered " beets a few years ago.I love them in a spinach or regular salad with goat cheese.red onions,pecans and balsamic vinegar or glaze.

Trick strain your yogurt for a thicker texture, in order to accommodate added liquids, such as lemon and olive oil😊

One can buy small glass oven tempered cookware w glass lids, fairly cheaply…not toxic like aluminum…
