Well here it is for you guys! Finally sharing my recipe for Belizean Coconut Tarts. This has been a very highly requested video. Hope you enjoy!
⬇️⬇️⬇️ RECIPE BELOW ⬇️⬇️⬇️
👩🏻‍🍳 BELIZEAN COCONUT TARTS
DOUGH
5 tablespoons butter, softened
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 egg yolk
½ teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
4 teaspoons water
FILLING
1 ½ cups flaked unsweetened coconut
½ cup water
1 egg white
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
½ tablespoon butter
Pinch of salt
Cook filling for 8 minutes stirring constantly over medium heat.
*Bake coconut tarts at 350F or 177C for 30 minutes. Cool completely before removing from tins.

Hello Shiarini. I have and still enjoy cooking with your recipes. At 73 years old living in Arizona, I’m eventually enjoying my foods recalling the authentic flavors embedded in my memory. Words cannot express to you how grateful I am for your love of our BELIZEAN cuisine and not compromising too greatly the ingredients and methods. I cook and bake for my friends introducing them to our dishes and haven’t yet been told anything other than how delicious and balanced my food is. Thanks to you. I wanted to add a couple pictures of my bread and powderbuns and potatoes salad, but don’t know how as I don’t do facebook or any other media but emails and WhatsApp. I always do a “like” for the recipes I tried. Thanks again for your easy to follow recipes and stories of your family.❤❤

I,do believe..upon watching lots of cooking demos on You Tube….I KNOW when the person whether a Chef…a progessional baker/cook KNOWS WHAT he/she doing….I mean he/she is a PRO!! How do I know??? Wonderful video and recipe. Love your easy manner and precision! You really find joy in your endeavor! I would use my scale to make sure each portion of dough and filling was exactly the same - obsessive! I have so much to do today; but I am going to run to the store to get what I need to make these tarts even if I am up into the wee hours. Thank you!

Oh no, my reply is going to be too late now. I've never done it that way, but I think you would have to flour your counter before rolling it out so it doesn't stick to it.

I just found your channel. I never had your country's food. I will try some of your recipes. I don't buy salted butter. Is there a great difference using unsalted butter? Can you roll the pastry out and then put it in the cups? Does it change the pastry if you spray the cups? Thanks.

So glad you found my channel 😊 When using the butter the only difference is it doesn't taste salty so you can add a pinch to the recipe. I haven't tried rolling the pastry then putting it in the cups but I think it would work. No it doesn't change the pastry if you spray the cups.
