When we can travel more than '5 miles out of our local area' you'll have to come do a little video in Chorlton and visit Longford cafe for amazinggg foood and coffee 😉😉😉

Hi Sam, I enjoyed watching your video. I’m born and bred in West Didsbury (was born in Withington Hospital) but now live in Melbourne, Australia. The area has been transformed completely since I lived there. It is a great place to go back and visit with lots of places to go out as I still have family and friends in the area though am not able to at the moment which makes your video even more special! It’s a nice neighbourhood - but it is one of the more expensive places in the central Manchester area in which to live an buy property.

Some great establishments featured there Sam! That pizza looked fantastic! I've not visited Burton Road for some years now, and there looks to have been changes for the better. I used to go in The Metropolitan regular. It was among the first pubs in Gtr Manchester to have an outdoor bar. Hopefully it's still there!

Ohhh yes I used to go to The Met all the time! It's quite a swanky bar/pub now and they do £5 pizza every week night (before lockdown that is!) I didn't know it was one of the first pubs to have an outdoor bar! I must say Burton Road is a lot posher and more trendy than it used to be! Lovely to see you here Steve - hope you're well! x

Lovely video again, the sooner someone invents a machine that can send food over the Internet the better, it's a bit far for the lad on his moped to get to me in Brittany . 😜 I'd have one of those pizzas for sure. AHAHAHHAHAA!! How have I just seen this now ahaha! Girrrl ain't that the truth. Do you remember when West Dids/ Withington deffo was NOT the place to be! ahaha I actually didn't? How was it? I've just recently discovered Chorlton is now super hip too - when it definitely didn;t used to be!

@@BellaDiary omg chorlton had been like that for ages! There was a Manchester comedian who used to live there and had loads of routines about it. One of them was "chorlton is what they call an up and coming area. That means until recently it was a s#&*hole!" 😂😂😂 the Midland was a dive! They sold drugs openly 😨 and apparently people even used to pee at the bar uurgh! 🤢 Nobody called it west didsbury in this days! 😂😂😂

I've lived in didsbury my whole life didsbury is the worst place to visit live or go to for fun .

@@BellaDiary personally I think its just the fact I've lived there my whole life found it rather boring as a child I don't like what the village became after the chained business started pushing out all the old independent ones I prefer the peak district but that's just my personal opinion , the botanical Gardens are great also the fletcher moss .

@@Fishingadventureuk I agree with you there! The Peak District is much nicer! I actually have some lovely videos from the peaks - I always have the best time there! West Didsbury has some nice independent shops so perhaps west didsbury is more your vibe! Buxton and Castleton in the peaks sound like your cup of tea!

@@BellaDiary West didsbury is nicer but not the village its like a clone of a typical city with all the chains there is like one independent left and that's the fish monger a brilliant place the pubs are good although can be rather expensive and regularly change hands i do prefer west didsbury I agree the metropolitan is a good pub . Hayfield is brilliant very cute little village just on the edge of the peak district check it out please do a video that place is lovely!
