I was such a fan of Lollipop Chainsaw that I went out of my way to procure the standee that was used to promote the game. One of the few standees I wanted to own.

i always wondered about that lancer lol. so many times i'd be watching you speak johnny, and my attention just wanders over to the lancer.

Wild find Johnny, I love when I find things I didn't know that I have too.

I've been subscribed to the channel for a long time and the two items that I've personally never seen showcased on the channel has been the lollipop chainsaw press kit and the legend of zelda: link's awakening special packaging. It always amazes me some of the things you managed to get for yourself because they're placed in a home where they will always be appreciated. Personally I would love to see a video about cool gaming stuff you missed out on that you would like to own for yourself. It doesn't necessarily have to be games but gaming related items regardless if its art or video game promotional material.

That looks like the PDP Gears Lancer. I have one I bought from Amazon that was the Gold Custom Lancer.

I remember I had to put a nickel between the batteries and the coil to get the lancer to make noise and rumble lol. Also too sorry to say this so late. But the bullet clip totally comes off and you didn’t have to take the rifle on the train lol

We used to be able to get standees and promo posters from Microplay/Superclub Vidéotron. Unfortunately, there's only a handful of stores left, but that's how I got my gaming posters (Disgaea 5 PS4, Hatsune Miku Project Diva X, Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse, Persona Q, and Ni No Kuni PS3.) and standees (Tron Legacy movie, Dragon Quest Heroes, Lego Lord of the Rings, Last of Us cube, and Mario Kart Deluxe for Switch) through the years.

The Sea of Thieves controller was short printed at launch and sold out immediately. Even then they were selling for a markup, and they've become increasingly sought after as time has gone on because they're considered to be one of the nicest controllers made for the Xbox One. If you have the controller sealed with an unused code, it sells for a premium, because a lot of the DLC was redeemed. For some reason with Xbox, there isn't a huge collectible market for older games, there is strong secondary market demand for limited edition hardware, like consoles and controllers.

Love this video. Gears of War Lancer. Excellent. I remember an interview on G4, Cliffy B and his team were inspired by Contra. The Hyrule Sword & Shield = playing a part in the Zelda fan made film. Epic! Lollipop Chainsaw. Love the press kit. Plus the signed poster, fantastic But Johnny, Kim's cosplay = badass!! Sea of Thieves controller. Wow that is pretty cool. Legend of Zelda Triforce. Bummer it no longer plays the melody, but it is a treasure.

I pretty much bought a couple of cheap PS4 and Switch games this year a couple days before Black Friday. I also spent money on some custom lightsabers as well. So I’m good on buying stuff for awhile.

Here is a story from a sleepy Scottish shopping Centre/Mall. I had a gold Lancer to promote Gears of War 2 I think. On launch day I stood outside the store to promote the game. After 20 mins or so I see this group rushing towards me, next thing I know I am surrounded by some over zealous security who were informed by a pensioner there was man with a large gun in the centre. They really thought action at last and is perhaps the only time I seen Security move that fast and I all I could think was, really its gold? Strange day that was and I still have that Lancer on the wall.

One of the signatures on the lolipop chainsaw poster is from Tara strong, she's the voice actor for the main character. She's a well known voice actor in the industry doing voices for timmy turner from fairly odd parents, harley quinn in most dc games and animated shows, raven from teen titans, ben from ben 10, and the list goes on.

I actually sold my sea of thieves controller very cheap compared to prices today (maybe at $125 or so) The collector's space has just become too toxic though. But I guess it happens with all "collectables" whether they are action figures, Pop figures to diecast cars (which is the latest thing I collect)

Hey Johnny, have you ever heard of the game Jade Cocoon? It's a jrpg on the ps1, very unknown but an interesting one. Ghibli designed the artstyle and made the animations for that game similar to level-5s Ni No Kuni. It also had voice acting, which was unusual for jrpgs at that time. Maybe you would like to check it out if you haven't played it yet. I don't see many game collectors mention it unfortunately.
