Another great and easy project for critters is a simple bat home. I built one, and no bats came... I was sad so i made 4 more and put them up around my house and eventually they all got filled! Haha I just got impatient. They eat TONS of insects. I mean, a literal ton. They eat about half their weight in mosquitoes and pests and leave the beneficial ones alone for the most part. It's basically a few boards made super close together and cramped and claustrophobic, just how they like it. You can cut ridges or add some chicken wire for them to grab onto and that's it. Done. I made one look like a Batman symbol and that one only has 2 bats I named Bruce and Selina.. lmao Try it out, Texas has a ton of bats... I think...
