Which rep quest?

@@Arachno25 from what I’ve gathered it’s rep with the shado-pan in toweling steppes. Once you’re exalted with shado-pan, one of the final quests has you fight a guy with one you can tame. Think that’s how it gos

@@Arachno25 Shado-pan! The quest is called "surprise attack!", and a little trick for this, don't speak to the npcs outside of the temple to start the encounter right away! The serpent will be in the arena behind them waiting for you. Get as far from it as possible, land, pop aspect of the turtle and tame right away. When you land you will aggro the mogu and they might do damage to you. I got it first try but you might have to try a couple of times.

Yep. I’m not sure if it’s able to be tamed in remix as it’s a raid boss and the other raid bosses were not tamable? Do you know if it can be in remix? I never tried, just figured it wasn’t

@@tskipgaming Good Point. I didn't know. Same goes for Nalak on Isle of Thunder as a Worldboss. Tameable, but I don't know about the Level.

@@MortimerFolchert Nalak might be, as I was able to tame Oodasta. Didn’t try that one. Might be a hard tame with others trying to kill outside ToT

​@@tskipgaming Unequipping the four tinker gear slots left me able to do about 10 basic attacks before the mobs were down to 35% - that is with a cloak at about 27k agility. Even without a cloak that high there should be no danger in losing much health.

That sucks! But honestly, if you don’t have the book, when remix is over just head back when your character get converted over a just buy it with gold. I’d definitely buy the mounts, pets, toys, etc over the book when you can do it later

@@tskipgaming SUPER late reply so someone has probably mentioned it already but the unlock for them is account wide even outside of remix so if anyone ever unlocked it before remix they will have it in remix and the macro won't show it. It's not all bad, took me like four Onyx Eggs resets to get exalted for it in remix at 750 res an egg.

i swear ages ago the one for dragons was also character specific, but it turned out each character had to have the full rep to even USE the tome - i'd bought one to send to my hunters and i think only one could use it. The one who had trained in serpent riding - before that didnt need to be trained any more

I found out by a comment, mechanical, direhorn and feathermane are the ones that are character specific. I thought that had all changed but I guess not. Why it tells me I can’t lesser dragons, but I can is odd though. But it works 😁 just not the direhorn

​@@tskipgaming Weird. I guess they didn't bother swapping them. DireHorns being in one place with the book literally an easy drop frop from those humaniods (last I looked, it could have changed) isn't worth making account bound? Feathermanes tend to fall into the same thing, except if you've beaten the campaign with a hunter.. that book is account bound... so that's not an issue to deal with same with mechanical being a book that's a crafted item... X>x (that and a racial trait to gnomes hunters I believe) Guess it's not as bad as it could have been (though I'll flip my lid if their is a legion:remix and they lockout feathermanes) On why it's not showing. remember those use to be tracked as spells in a spell book, and likely still are, just not visible (which is why some of the helpers exist), and MoP:remix just flipped alot of things on it's head spell wise ... so it just might ahve been caught on the backend and never fixed up nicely because the 2 that matter (cloud serpent & lesser dragon) are account flags that work., and the helpers/macros can not look into that level of system (macro abuse) X} I kinda wanted some wind serpents (namely the wod, the golden serpent or the skelly one) but was sad I wasn't able to do it. I suspect that the raid/dungeon tames (unless explictedly allowed) are not viable if bosses (which means one spirit beast isn't viable either)

The pet is the heavenly cloud serpent and the quest is called “surprise attack”, it’s the final quest in that quest chain. Hope that helps. Let me know if ya need anymore info

You definitely can’t tame the celestial bull, would be awesome though 😁 only thing I can think of is there’s a meta gem that turns you into a bull, there’s a battle pet of the celestial bull, or you might have seen a monk with it as they have a talent to have one out.

Since I can't use my usual clefthoof. What are other good pets for soloing?

@@Alex-rz4fg clefthoof is my main tank pet also! Honestly I’ve been using the Devilsaurs. They have predators thirst and is pretty good. I will say some of the scaling seems to be a bit off for pets. I do have to put mend pet up a bit. But I was able to hold a dungeon boss with it.

Not to much, more preference. That said, scalehind is probably best for solo tanking, but as your gear/cloak go up you’ll be wrecking stuff anyways. Late game you can run a ferocity pet if group doesn’t have a lust or drums or tenacity for fortitude that increases heath by 20%. To be honest though, late game you’ll have so much stats (talking 100% stats lol) so use what you enjoy

When you go to the stable, the slot all the way to the right is your bm companion pet slot. What ever pet you put in that one will always be your 2nd pet out

@@tskipgaming Yeah, lol idk either. I have a bm hunter on live retail. Got multiple exotics/spirit beasts, no issue. Now this, so I just thought maybe you had to do something before you could have two of the same, or two spirit beasts out in general. No biggie. Thank you for the help though.

Yep, the green, red and blue have it. Health has to be around 30% it think, for it to go away

@@caraziegel7652 when you target them, look at the buff they have on its name plate. If you look at my video, look at the target plate next to mine, above my bars. You’ll see the box above the pets target frame. Once that goes away, 30%, your good to go
