Do they have consistent characters?

That's because they focus on crap nobody wants like public rooms and a felly fledged out website. The only things people want are consistent characters, clothing and scenes. And maybe finally consistent character interactions when generating multiple of them in the same scene. But for some reason the team at MJ is so dense that they won't listen to us anymore. It baffles me how much better Leonardi is at realistic images. Even SD3 which is open source has MUCH more control and better realism than MJ, and unlike MJ SD doesn't cost you 20-30 $ a month.

Sd3 full meaning

Leonardo is good, but MJ V6 is still the best |BY FAR, maybe SD3 with custom models will be as good as MJ V6, but then MJ V7 will come and it will be better than SD3. SD is always catching up on MJ, ALWAYS.

I thiiiink the team who works on the website is different than the team who actually works on the bot - and it just seems like their resources are disproportionally allocated - but in reality, the website just takes up more of David's headspace and that's what he reports on in these office hours. I could be wrong though! But thanks a lot for your support

A few weeks ago, David showed a survey that listed what users want: better image quality, consistent characters. and faster picture generation. It seems like they would work on the top items from the list, but instead, David has them spending a lot of time of his vision of the project instead of the reality of it. I am afraid it will cost them in the long run.

haha yeah, like you said, it all moves so fast - I can't even imagine what it's like to run one of these companies. Maybe that's why I'm not as critical of their decisions (cause I doubt I could do any better) but yeah sometimes the lack of progress can be more frustrating than calming in a weird way lol

The website search is annoying but is working. 1. Search subject 2. Click on an image and view prompt etc. 3. DONT CLICK BACK BUTTON ON YOUR BROWSER. 4. If you click on the dark background around the image it then takes you back to search and not to the main page. Once I accidentally found this it's worked ok ;)

It is kinda crazy that these companies have conditioned us to expect constant progress haha like MJ V6 was released just before Christmas - and it feels like years ago at this point 😂

1. The rooms are not for discord people, but only for NEW people (which doesn't mean that discord people don't use them). 2. People from Discord vote "no" in surveys when it comes to rooms, as I wrote above - they simply don't need them because they have Discord. If you did a poll among people who don't use midjourney yet, probably 75-90% would say that rooms are a great idea. 3. Midjourney wants to reach more people because their bottleneck is discord and the lower number of new registrations. What I wrote above is their thinking and I absolutely disagree with it. Overall, I think this is a sick idea. They try to eat the whole cake while everyone else overtakes them. Instead of focusing on retaining people and pleasing and developing them at all costs so that no one can surpass them, they focus on "how to earn even more" and in my opinion they will end up disastrously.

I think the simple answer is that it isn't for us! I'm pretty sure they're worried about people signing up for MJ without Discord and not being able to talk to anyone or ask for help

I think he is worried about people signing up for MJ without Discord and then having no one to talk to or get help from. It makes sense, but it's basically not a feature for existing users and I can see why people are frustrated

Only time I use discord anymore is for the describe function. I believe the site has an implementation of it, but I like the discord one more.

they don't m make it easy... if you want to actually delete stuff on there (with no way to get it back) you have to do it in a convoluted way (kinda like this explanation). On the website - click on the image you want to delete. then click on the three lines next to the image. Select 'copy job ID' then open discord. Type "/show" this will give you the option for 'job _ID" hit that and then paste the job ID you copies form the website. THEN... when the image opens up...click on the 'add reaction' thing - the emoji face. You then need to 'rate' the image with the red X. Click that and the image will disappear - forever. Warning, if the image you clicked on was one of a gid of four initial images, it will delete ALL FOUR of them - because they have the same job ID It's not an obvious way to do it, but it does work and is the only way I've found to get rid of a bunch of stuff you never want back - but it's a one-way street, once deleted, the images are gone, so make sure you definitely don't want them - like, EVER.
