The heisei godzilla series was the series after the showa godzilla film series ended, and it took place before the millenium godzilla films. But at the same time being the inspiration for most of those films. And inspiring the legendary monsterverse films in many ways as well.
godzilla vs destoroyah is my favorite godzilla film, it has some of the best camera work, animation, and models in the heisei godzilla series, as well as the best human characters, and monster fights in the heisei godzilla series. With Godzilla's burning design being one of the best godzilla designs.
