South Lake Tahoe has an up-and-coming food scene with some great casual eateries. Today we tour a day of food from funky donuts, to waterfront Greek lunch, to home-brewed happy hour, ending in the mandatory best casino buffet on the south shore!

I stayed at Harrah's in October 2020 when there was hardly anybody there. It was kind of eerie but also nice. Gambling at 2am and virtually the only one in the casino.

That donut place looked amazing. I’m a huge donut addict so I would love to go there 🤩😎 the butterfingerdonut: yummm but the lemonade custard and blueberries... to die for! The buffet also looked great!! I love orange chicken as well. Great video Zeene. Have a great weekend 😍

Awesome blog! I originally read it because of your great review of my daughter Mara's donut shop but your other features were great as well. I was familiar with The Forest Buffet and Artemis but hadn't checked out the brewery. I subscribed to your blog as I found you to be very well informed and personable and look forward to checking out your other recommendations in the city and other spots as we enjoy traveling and eating!

Thank you so much for posting this. I’ve gone to some of those places but great to know there are other good restaurants there to check out. Will definitely check them out. I’ve watched all your previous videos too. please share any good restaurants in East Bay Area (Berkeley and Oakland) as future posting suggestion. ;)

Just returned from 4 days R&R in South Lake Tahoe following my daughter's 4 day wedding celebration at Sugar Bowl Resort. Love this gorgeous area. Perfect for nature & lovers & outdoor enthusiasts. Something for everyone. Casino scene pretty mundane but then again, I'm not into gambling. The food scene is awesome; highly recommend Ace High Saloon & Smokehouse & My Tai restaurants. So many different Asian, BBQ, Mexican establishments all yummy & flavorful! Can't wait to return~ hopefully soon & try a few of those amazing sounding donuts!
