You did not explain the difference in red and green. Rename your video.

My 2004 Lexus uses a proprietary pinkish-red coolant that is not dexcool but, it is super long life coolant.

Only green antifreeze for me. I'm Irish

Volkswagen has a pink one that is long life. It is also not at all compatible with the old green stuff because you will sooner or later end up with a very expensive repair bill if you do mix the two. It will gel and plug things up and leave an unsightly brown stain in the coolant reservoir and all through everything the coolant flows through..

My ktm rc125 has free coolant in of some sort but the manual says it takes motorex m3.0 what should I do

It's funny this, none of the big chain auto parts carry mopar factory OAT, none, the only carry universal green or pink, same for the oil, tire change shops. Had my jeep flushed filled with green at a big national shop, it started running hot, fact, I took it to dealer under warranty, they freaked, I voided warranty, they flushed and replaced gummed up thermostats and handed me the bill, but the jeep ran cool again !

Not sure this is good advice to switch factory coolant in cars that need red to the green. It's difficult to flush all remnants of the coolant out and I've heard too many stories about reactions between the red and green when mixed. As a general rule it's always good to stick with stock OEM items recommended by the manufacturer.

i have gone thru two motors blowing the head gaskets on both gm veh because of that bull shit coolant..... did some research and green i went.... i flushed and flushed and still kept getting that red clay in the radiator and hosses

The Answer is, refer to the Owners manual for fluids and keep them maintained. There are also more than just one type of Red coolant my friend.. (Toyota's coolant, for example, which is far superior to Chevy's Dexkill)

GM Red coolant = DEXCool Toyota Red coolant = normal IAT with phosphate inhibitor (no silicate) 'Classic' Green coolant = normal IAT with silicate inhibitor (no phosphate)

I am a professional mechanic with 38 years experience, and I have seen countless GM engines RUINED by Dexkill. It starts out as an orange liquid, and turns into a dark brown, sticky, gooey solid that completely plugs up all the coolant passages in the engine. I have found no way to get it out. GM knows what this stuff does, and they are still using it as of 2017. NO OTHER AUTO MANUFACTURER has had a problem like this with their coolant. It is strictly a GM issue. And because of that I recommend against buying a GM car. They are purposefully putting stuff in their engines that they know will destroy them.

all true but is not about the color. can be both colors nowdays.. the color just marcs the level. talking about gree vs red is inapproppiate. read the label. then choose.

You do know all red coolant is not the same. All green is not the same. You should be discussing IAT, oat, hoat, and the variations within. The color means nothing. I know of certain exact formulas that are sold 3 or more colors.

DEXCOOL is orange coolant NOT red. RED coolant is TOYOTA NOT GM DEXCOOL.
