Nice choice on Nomad! The food and drinks at Park MGM were marvelous. Ha, In Vegas I walk 5-7 miles a day and workout at least once if not twice daily just to afford all of those calories. It sucks but I refuse to count calories In Vegas 😎

The Bellagio is great. I love the way it looks inside and the whole feel of the place...even the smell of the casino. That said, it is kind of like Grand Central Station there and it gets tons of traffic and visitors who aren't staying there which can be annoying for the actual guests staying at the hotel.

Currently sitting in my room at Red Rock Hotel in Vegas, watching your videos, trying to decide what hotel to do next. 😃. As someone who lives in Vegas and has the goal to go every hotel for a staycation, it's been great to watch your videos! I haven't done the Bellagio yet. I did MGM Grand a couple weeks ago, tried the new Restaurant, Nellies, which is owned by the Jonas bros and parents. It was good. A pretty chill place, with live music. Love the way it's decorated! Food is Southern with a twist, like macaroni cheese and pulled pork egg rolls. Anyway .. I digress, lol. I'll have to do Bellagio next, I definitely am a person who goes to a hotel and stays there so I can try everything, I don't venture out. (plus I hate the strip...because, you know, live here). On to the next video!

You sold me on the Bellagio, will be there March 9-13. Center strip with the attractions and restaurants won me over. This will be my first trip of hopefully many. Finally in financial position to indulge in Vegas. Second trip will be the Palazzo. Keep up the good work.

We agree that Cafe Gelato is great. We also like Petrossian which is their lobby bar. You may actually need a reservation for Petrossian on weekends, but it is a nice place to get a cocktail before or after dinner, while enjoying live piano music. Nice selection of appetizers too. We love the pool atmosphere and landscaping. Breakfast at the poolside cafe was a pleasant experience.

Vdara is really nice but it doesn't offer much for dining, nightlife, or hospitality. I typically stay there when I want to have an escape from Vegas weekend, while still remaining in Vegas. The bellagio is truly a staple of Vegas and is a hotel that everyone should experience at least once.

Great video! As someone who is an avid KZfaq watcher, the only issue was the audio. Was a bit hard to understand at times just with the quality but I’m glad I stuck around! I’m going to Vegas for the first time in a few weeks and we’re staying at the Bellagio. Good to know I should avoid yellowtail 😅

@@Coolist follow up report.... stayed at Bellagio last June, we found our groove when we discovered the pool cafe for breakfast and then migrate over to the pool area and ponder a cocktail 🍸 . Probably going back in May...our room was updated and great, I concur on the Lago we had actually the same drink and dish you had, very good. Wow you made a haul at that cafe gellato excellent. Yaa it nails the location big time.

Finally! You can thank the new ownership group, Blackstone, for that. MGM made it clear that they were not going to further invest in that property, so they divested it completely. They did so pre-Covid too, so they're timing was impeccable.

Bellagio is a very gorgeous resort, especially its lobby, conservatory, and lake. Not a big fan of its rooms or suites though. They aren't bad, its just not my style. It screams rich, italian grandma's house to me. Aria's suites are more my speed, specifically the sky suite penthouses. More of a modern feel to it

The new trend in hotel strategy is to invest assets into experience aspects of the hotel - lobby, restaurants, attractions, etc - which is a cheaper option than the costly and lengthy endeavor of remodeling hotel rooms. MGM quit investing in the bellagio a few years ago, evidenced by the cessation of the AAA Five Diamond certification a few years ago and the complete divestment of the property last year. Perhaps the new owner will choose to facelift the rooms as well as other ancillary portions of the property.

still iconic cuz of the fountain water show! but kinda outdated in terms of look! its like a huge cathedral instead of modern hotel ala the aria 1)from bellagio, is it free to go to parkMGM via the tram? 2)how far of a walk from bellagio to the miracle miles shop in terms of mins...i think the dist is 3.3miles? 3)how long does it take to get to fremont street from bellagio via the bus? 4) is it cheaper to use taxi or uber to get to the fremont downtown from bellagio? thx for answers!

At one time, Bellagio had the best ultra-fine dining in Vegas. But I'm afraid that the majority of their elite dining venues are casualties of COVID. Le Cirque, a AAA Five Diamond restaurant, is still closed, and Jasmine, which was regarded as the most beautiful Chinese restaurant in the world, is purportedly permanently closed. But Check out Picasso - I believe at one time it had a Michelin star, the only Michelin star in Vegas at the time. Dinner for two will cost you 1k. You'll get 11 courses and five different waiters over the span of three hours, if that's your thing. For me, it was too over the top, and I'm no stranger to Michelin meals.

I couldn't tell based off of your closing reaction if you'd rate this a 3 (Recommend) or 4 (Definite). =) I'm going to assume it's a 3 based off of the lukewarm reactions to Yellowtail and the room itself, but maybe an over-the-top Prime experience and/or a room remodel would easily sway it to 4? =) For me it definitely accomplishes enough to deserve a 4. One could argue it's kind of been on auto-pilot over the past 10-15 years and so it can't help but feel more dated in result, but it's still scarcely matched in terms of iconic and has the most enviable placement of all on the Strip. Even on auto-pilot in a sense it's a 4 in my book, even though I do still hope they remodel the rooms and maybe step up the mixology and nightclub there. =)

Yo Marcos! The brand is Maceoo - they have a website. And btw, now is a great time to visit Vegas because the entire strip is at your disposal but the crowds are minimal. Though my heart goes out to the many displaced and underemployed service and hospitality workers in the city, I personally like low key Vegas. Hope you're doing well! Happy holidays!

you should say something when the food is so bad. the only way they will ever improve there quality is from complaints. i would have sent it back and not paid for the bad items or request something else @coolist

No was just there the MGM has finally brought the standards to a new low. Place was packed with kids, bars were dirty, newly removed rooms were terrible

For that stay, I'd probably issue a 2. That score could improve with the remodeled rooms.

@@Coolist I think I have to agree with that. We stayed there January 2021. I hope the rooms are upgraded by now! We are staying there next month. It's not my first choice, but wifey didn't like my first, second or third choices.

The Bellagio was never the best hotel in Vegas, that title belongs to the Wynn. But the Bellagio is/was a close third (behind the Encore). Although, to be fair, I've heard that since Steve Wynn got fucked out the door, MAYBE the Bellagio might just be the best.
