Coop must be on Nas payroll, cuz no way Nas latest album run is better then Kanyes 1st 6 album run.. it's not even close. In notoriety, in sales, in impact, n accolades

@Dominican1923 I completely agree that Nas is the better lyricist n MC. But nothing compares to Kanyes 1st 6 album run. Nas has not shifted the culture on his latest run. KANYE did. These Last few albums by Nas has been great but not really impactful on the culture side

Coop this isn’t a conversation about who you prefer or even just a rap conversation and you know this once you start comparing someone like Nas to Ye. This is a conversation of rabge and artistry and SONG making and bodies of work ability in the hip hop culture. Nas run has been elite if we are just talking a rap run for rap supremacy over a long period of time. He has it in the bag. Once we start talking ye vs Nas we are talking CULTURAL,Creative and musical DOMINANCE. Nas is a phenomenal and arguably most revered wordsmith in hip hop history. That being said Nas in no way shape or form makes better MUSIC nor can his discography rival the creative range and impact of Ye. Ye might not be as praised as Nas at just rapping soley but overall?? Nah bro it’s just not happening lol.

Yeah, I have to *kinda* cosign. Lol. Lyrically, to me, there's no comparison. The 1st Magic album ALONE production and LYRICALLY destroys A LOT of dudes categories. But to your point, if we talking replay value... And impact...yes I can't deny that although I think putting these hits out for a dude at 50 is amazing

It's completely fine to have favorite and go hard for that favorite. It's only when you start to ignore objectivity to just vouch for who you prefer lol That's ok too but just own it don't try to argue it like its undeniable when it's not lol

I don’t like it when coop tries to compare the Nas hit run against catalogs like Gang Starr or now Ye. This type of run wasn’t possible in past eras because the way of recording and releasing has changed. 6 projects in 3 years is impressive but it’s different from back in the day when you had to take your time more and space out releases year by year as a slow build and keep coming back strong. Can’t really compare it

Not to mention, look at what Ye was doing from 2004 to 2010. He was almost Prince-like in the amount of material he worked on for himself and others, producing wise and feature-wise. Meanwhile, Nas was looking lost out here.

Coop is tripping big time, and this is clear recency bias being said. Outside of Life Is Good, Nas’s output before the Hit-Boy stuff was shotty at best during that 2000s era. It's a nitpick using features against Kanye when he was the one who placed a majority of them in significant places on his albums, mainly the first five. Those Hit Boy albums are cool, but they aren't game-changing to the degree of any of Kanye’s first 5. Nas is in my top 10 but he had opportunities in his actual prime to release more albums with even better producers and did not.

Im convinced that Coop job on the show is to just be the contrarian. Aint no way you believe what your saying. I understand that Nas is your GOAT but Kanye is in a league of his own when it comes to his first 5 albums. Even if you don’t like 808 it did what it was supposed to. Impact the young kids like me who was just starting to date girls trynna figure it out. BTW Coop did say that Kanye first 4 classics is better than Jay-Z . So now because its Nas…..

Coops sports takes are horrible sometimes lol Mahomes beat Burrow who had the better offense. And did so on one leg. He beat the Bills who had the best D that season. This is the first time he has a top 5 defense compared to Lamar who’s had a top 5 D every year except for one. Lamar is great, but even if he wins it all, he still needs to run it back. And that’s not going into the actual stats where Mahomes clears Lamar.
