@@burgerland5754⁠i don’t know, i mean yes there are rules obviously but it feels like it’s a sport that’s really still trying to figure itself out (i’m using the term "sport" pretty fast and loose here). i’ve seen instances where there’s been a pretty fair application of the rules, but conversely i’ve seen several matches where a striker has blatantly clubbed their opponent and hasn’t received any repercussions for it. this isn’t something i’ve witnessed in just the Power Slap promotion either. several promotions are guilty of it. that Debow match posted earlier today is a perfect example of it. pretty much every single slap in that match were blatant fouls. didn’t even need a slo-mo replay to notice them, and yet all those illegal blows just somehow went under the radar. EDIT: i don’t think slap fighting knows what it even is yet. is it a combat sport that wants to be taken somewhat seriously, or is it just a novelty act where husky gentleman just open palm each others faces for a few thousand bucks and some beer money.

Power Slap should use soft material helmet so only chin is exposed. ears and eyes should be covered. this helmet would prevent unfair damage to athletes caused by inaccurate slap or damage your hand when oponent is flinching.

They take part in a contest which consist to slap their opponent without they can defend. It's very dangerous at the basis. When they slap their opponent, they only have 2 things to think about in order to minimize the risk for their opponent : no clubbing and no stepping. I mean, it's very simple, isn't it ? So in my opinion, as soon as the slapper makes a foul, it should be an automatic loss, and if their opponent gets KOd on a foul, they should be banned from that contest. It may sound harsh, but they only have two things to think and they slap someone who can't even move. It's not as if they were on a pressure. I understand that they want to win and they want to hit as hard as possible and it may cause them to foul, but they have to control themselves and to be responsible enough to know that slapping someone with all their strenght who can't move is dangerous, so let them do that in the proper form to not increase even more the risk of bad injuries.

Meh. Lets be real. All of us watch this just to see some violencent KOs. None of us root for one person over another, we just want to see idiots beat themselves to KO. Thinking about more rules into this is not essential, as this will never be a real "sport" what people actually respect. Less rules, more KOs the better. This wont last long anyway.

Bummer Lorenzo after having a terrible intro slap comes back with the Mack Daddy Slap KO but gets fouled out. That's sort of what I like about Powerslap, there are so many other factors in play that you have to follow in order to win. Disqualifications KO's like this shouldn't count as a win/loss I don't think. It should be something completely different they should have Records counted like this Win,Loss,Draw, DQ-Win, DQ-Loss. I get in MMA DQ Win is still a win, and a DQ Win should count for something but it should be tallied in your total record differently. Powerslappers are already going to have really crazy records like 7-7 or 5-8 but they should have those extra brackets for DQ Win/Loss in a separate column. Does anybody else agree?

Yea the showmanship in Power Slap is so annoying it could definitely do without it. Also from what ive noticed many times ive seen clubs and fouls and the judges would be like "yea that was clean" like really!?!? How!?!? Anyway, its still a pretty good show for the most part but not my favorite slap show.
