Coop , I have got to tell you brother, if you feel it in your heart seal the deal. There is always eye candy everywhere but when you find the one you got to to make the big decision. One thing is clear to me, if you do not seal the deal, I am sure there are plenty Kenyan guys who see what a gem she is or other brothers abroad that will go seeking for her or a love like her. Wangechi is definitely representing very well for the Kenyan ladies. Gikuyus have Cushitic admixture from Southern Cushites, Later on from Maasais, Oromos, etc. Unless the DNA company doesn't have Ethiopian/Oromo DNA samples, majority of Gikuyus cluster close to the the Cushitic groups mentioned more than Somalis. If she's from Nyeri, then the Cushitic admix is re inforced cause they live right at the tethers of Gikuyu land, right into Maasai/Cushitic land.

(2002), other Gĩkũyũs largely carry the L1a clade, which is one of the African mtDNA Haplogroups.

The bride price dowry is tradition but just depends on the family… my family do not really care for bride price… most females that married out did not demand price… Wangeci is a full Bantu…Married to an AA in the States goin on 20 yrs.. my family did not ask for dowry.. we hv 2 kids… tradition is subjective.. gees hubby n I share a bday… gees

Keshi lemmie correct on dowry. If your dowry exceeds your mum's, your dad has to top up for her. In kikuyu culture, a girl's dowry is equal to the mum's but not more. It explains why your parents can't receive your dowry before your dad pays for his wife.Like you can't cost more than her.
