Been a long-time chest strap wearer and always have been wary of arm or wrist HRMs. Seems pretty accurate -- as you say, John. Great review as always. ..... Thanks mate!

Yes this does seem accurate and it was comfortable on the top of my arm. To be honest I forgot it was even there. I am not someone who monitors their heart on rides but I know a lot do for training and it can be handy to spot problems with your heart like what happened to my brother in law who us super fit

Thank you 😁 I thought it worked well and for me I preferred it to the chest strap

@@JohnonaBikeand guess what? My polar strap died today 😂 Ok right , last question Should I take the plunge on this ? Bracelet or strap ?
@JohnonaBike6 ай бұрын
I think fate has stepped in already and answered the question 🤔😁 but seriously when I tried the amband HR monitor it seemed to work just fine for me

@@JohnonaBike i ordered the strap yesterday, should arrive this week Any advice on calf pain ? 😀
@JohnonaBike6 ай бұрын
I hope it works out well for you 👍 Calf pain - Do you mean cramps ? If so a good quick remedy when out on the bike are Rennies (ant-acid tablets) someone once told me about them and I have tried them and they do help

@johnonabike does it have a memory that you can run or ride with it and still track your stats and sync it right after for calories burnt? or do you have to do the activity with your phone to track data?

To be honest I am not 100% sure so I have asked Coospo and I will let you know what they say
@JohnonaBike Жыл бұрын
OK I asked Coospo on your behalf and they replied with " Yes, Coospo hr monitors can connect to the apps like CoospoRide and Heartool, then you can check the real-time data when you're in the workout."

Hello! Could you tell me if you notice any delay between changing your actual pulse rate and that you can see on your device using this monitor? I have a similar monitor made by Polar, but it has around 30 seconds delay.
@JohnonaBike Жыл бұрын
I will certainly check for you and let you know 👍
@JohnonaBike Жыл бұрын
OK I tested it and it seemed pretty quick to me. I did not notice a big delay and certainly not 30 seconds maybe 1 or 2 seconds at most

great device... as i used one in the past when doing bootcamps (it was a polar chest one that belonged to the club) and i think an arm one would be more comfy, but do you think it'll be sturdy enough for intense cardio exercise?
@JohnonaBike Жыл бұрын
Yeah these devices certainly have their place for sure. I think I mentioned in the past about my brother in law who is VERY fit and found a bad heart defect that required surgery just by wearing a heart rate monitor 😮 It seems pretty secure when I used it but of course I was just riding a bike. It fastens with Velcro but the strap is stretchy so it should work fine

@@JohnonaBike ah yes, recall you saying that now.. :( i have low blood pressure, no side effects, but used to sometimes see stars when i stood up too fast... but when i was doing the bootcamp sessions i rarely went into the 'red' zone (when everyone else did..) and my trainer thought i wasn't putting enough effort in haha, but i certainly was..! I'll check these out for sure..

Yeah it seems good but of course I only tested it for a day and I never tried out the zones. I know Coospo send me these items but I will always be honest and Coospo seem to make good products from what I have used
