That mustang would be an amazing transformation, even just cleaning it up would be cool to see. Maybe an initial power wash followed by interior strip and wash

That Mustang was the only car there I would buy, no electronics straight shift, fast back, big block. Those are as rare as hen's teeth and are worth a fortune restored.

I agree with "Dirt Road Sailing" and "Francois R." That Mustang was a three year only body style. 1971,1972, and 1973 . If it is a true Mach I with a big block and 4 spd. it could be worth some $$$. You need to do your research on that one guys.

The Mustang was a 1972 or 73 because it didn't have a chrome bumper in front the valve covers were off of a 70 or 71 cobra jet or police interceptor Im going to talk to Mike about the car I know that I can get it running after all the fluids are changed . SCRUBS say NIKO BROS OTAY |

12:52 so the manual makes that worth getting. The "electronics" are not digital . If that is a solid rust-free (or mostly rust free) car, at a good price, get it.

... still needs a total teardown because water in gear boxes and wiring will bite you in the ass, along with rotting seats and other soft goods.

@@rupe53 so? Any car of that era is a total teardown. Water in the gear box? Really? How would that bite you in the ass? Yes, most cars of that era need a wiring harness, but you can build it yourself from you know, wire. My 1972 Plymouth, which was not flooded and had been stored in a shop since 1989 needs engine, quarters, full soft goods, tires/wheels, trans, body and paint... I didn't pay Copart prices.I paid way more. A 4-speed 72 Mustang at a cheap price, if the rust is manageable is the best buy that they would have found.

@@ST-cy6we ... another clarification... at one time I specialized in VW.... and after 40 years I don't think I have forgotten much. I will work on almost anything, especially older stuff. Last week it was a 32 Ford with a 327. The week before it was a 61 Corvette with a 396.

You've never heard of the "Outer Banks" NC? Cape Hatteras, Nags Head, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil's Hill, Rodanthe, Avon, etc.? Are you not Carolina boys? Hence this Bronco edition, driving on the beach and surf fishing....but you know these new Bronco's have a lot of issues, especially the engines. Such a shame so many new/like new vehicles get flooded like that.

You guys are misreading the windshield moisture... If all the water is not vacuumed from the car. The sun's heat during the morning will cause the windshield to fog up. The carpet foam will often retain water for months if not removed and dried out correctly... Also, you need to remember when the car is ramped out of the flood water, the water in the vehicle will flow in the direction of the tilt of the wrecker's ramp.. Those little Humidity bags they are putting into the cars don't begin to extract all the moisture in the foam in the carpet. One of the best ways to remove moisture is; to place a house dehumidifier in the car roll up all the windows and monitor it for a few days.

worked on wet cars before and you will never get it dry until the seats and carpets are out laying in the sun for a week or two.

That’s is a 1971 Mustang Mach 1. 429 SCJ 4 speed car. It’s one of about 120. I know the car personally. Hagerty would insure that pre flood for $100k

ive had fire and flood, I agree dont know why they dont buy a crashed car and the same flood car for parts there were so many there and in the end you still have a salvage title

All flooded cars should be crushed, by law. People are going to get stuck with these not knowing they were flooded, and have nothing but trouble, and will get hosed when they get rid of them.

Yeah my mom had a Chevy Lumina once and it was screwed up because it was in water at one point. go take a backhoe to it and crush it on spot. Or $120,000 project fun play toy car
