This is a followup video for my original "Misophonia" explanation with methods i use for coping with the condition. Not everyone experiences the same levels and not everyone triggers the same way, but these are a few things that help.

Good advices, and thank you. I've tried and succeed at quitting coffee a week ago, replaced it with guarana powder and my problems with misophonia are now controllable- all that without terrible caffeine withdrawal symptoms. Many sounds are still annoying, but they don't produce rage - only contempt toward the person who makes the noise.

Half of my time is simply spent counting and NOT blowing up at the person making the sound so congratulations, you're making real progress :) good stuff. Here's to a better tomorrow

An update after three weeks- majority of my misophonia symptoms went away, I didn't drink not even one coffee for all this time, only one third of teaspoon of guarana powder few times a day. Maybe that's some therapeutic effect of guarana, every time when I hear some triggering sound now there is always some safe place in my mind where I can isolate myself, very, very weird. Anyway, thanks for your support, it helped me to solve the puzzle :):)

So can you explain this to me. I don’t know if I have it or not. So, at my fathers house, I flip out. Almost everyone there is getting so closed to being strangled. Sounds like chewing, keyboard tapping, squeaking, etc. Drive me crazy. During dinner I feel like crying cause I know that I can’t handle what’s going on. I ask people at the table to sop and my dad and stepmom say to me, “Be quiet, you need to stop acting like it’s the worst things in the world. Just ignore them.” I once had to leave the table so I didn’t flip the table over. Car rides are almost as bad. I have to share a seat because of our big family. There are nine people. My sister does this thing where she sniffs her blanket/jacket while in the car and it makes me want to bash her head through the window. And visual things to. Watching someone kick their leg, walk back and forth, get me mad. But, when I do some of the things that frustrate me, it calms me. And I’m almost always on my to bunk bed on my computer listening to music while doing things, cleaning, or outside exercising. Just so I’m away from people. So from that, which is just the summary, what is it. Please answer me cause I really want to know. Thank You!!!!

Kailee Ortiz you literally just described my whole life. It's physically painful to hear those things. The only thing that really saves me is background noise or music. Other than that... i can hear 99% of people breathing normally. Good luck. A general doctor can refer you to a specialist. There are meds, but I'm really weird about taking medications in general. Keep me posted on how you're doing. It's really difficult over the long haul

Five Freaking Onion Rings thank you so much for answering me! I will keep posted so I can have more information. I really hope my family can understand. My brother is the one person who makes it worse. He doesn’t believe me that it makes me crazy. So he keeps doing it. Thank you again!

Kailee Ortiz good luck. I've had a bit of success with reducing sugar but it's still at an intolerable level. Would love to know how you progress.

Five Freaking Onion Rings So I just remembered this. How should I tell my family. I’m not completely sure I have it, and I’ve mentioned it before. But they just think I’m annoyed easily. I’m kind of afraid they won’t believe me. And won’t let me use any of the coping methods. What should I do?

Kailee Ortiz i really don't know. I'd try showing them info and try. You could talk to a dr when you get a chance and explain to see what can be done. It's difficult to get anyone to listen, ironically enough
