I just discovered that my husband very probably has a malignant lung cancer and my thoughts and anxiety are completely out of control. I can't help but thinking of the worst case scenario and I can't afford a therapist. He has already risked his life twice, one in a n accident and in 2019 with a kidney carcinoma....this time around I feel I'm not going to psychologically make it

Hi Christina, we are so sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis. Reaching out for help is not easy but there are supports out there. Lung Cancer Canada has some great resources if you have not already reached out to them. Additionally accessing support through the cancer centre's support services is another option to consider as well. Hope that helps.

I still get tested every six months though radiation worked but the night before an appointment I do fret.

Thanks for watching Larry. It's very normal to fret the night before an appointment. We hope that this video gave you some helpful coping techniques to manage the fear and anxiety of scans.
