I recorded the process of making 3 custom copper counters for a restaurant job. This is an old video I didn't finish until now.

Mitch’s music choice and how he edits it in tells you about his personality and sense of humor. Very nice work my friend.

Really useful to watch you doing this job, as I'm trying to decide whether to have a go myself. What weight copper sheet did you use, please? regards from Bristol, UK. EDIT: I have now watched your dedicated video on materials - even *more* helpful!! Thank-you :-)

I've had really good luck of using stop blocks around the main base of the substrate to keep it in place while it's being glued to the Copper they are undercut so they're not riding on the copper just touching the edge of your substrate don't know if this will help but good video thanks for sharing

good advice. I now remember that I have done it that way before. For this job, I wanted to make it more difficult for some reason. If I had more of the bottle jacks, I wouldn't need to worry about shifting. they work much better than clamps for pressing

have you done a video on how you built those jack block, post things you use? they were really not seen well in this video but you used them in that butcher block island video when you were setting up the horizontal drill. I love your videos, nice work and no crappy techno music

Hi Mitch. Just wondering - wouldn't it be easier to use oversized pieces of copper sheet and trim after glueing?
@hffcom
@hffcom 6 жыл бұрын
I did actually trim them after. Tolerances were tight because I barely had enough material to work with. and also wanted to minimize trimming metal with the trim router. and also sometimes I get a bit fussy
