That motor-stripper is one of the coolest things i've ever seen. Having tried to extract all the copper wire from a small motor took me over half an hour and 3 different tools. This beast makes it look shamefully easy. NICE.

how much is the electicity consumption to strip this electrical wires? would it not be cheaper just to melt down the copper and dispose or recycle the plastic insulation/s surrounding it?

That's illegal in most states when u burn it poisonous gas form I have seen people heat up their knifes to were they don't struggle to cut copper especially big ones

Would clean up the electrical wiring around my work station. Save the brass fittings and bushings I’d replace. End of the week I’d have a 5 gallon bucket of stuff to haul off.

It shows them stipping the easy stuff but what about usb and telephone cords?

I wouldn't even bother attempting usb cords. The copper in them is so minimal it's not worth it. It'd be better to leave them just like they are and you'd most likely get #2 insulated copper wire prices for them. Telephone cords I just throw away. My operation is very small so the few I get aren't worth anything to me.

A word to the wise, if you're a beginner doing this, don't set the knife too tight. Otherwise, you'll just make a bunch of needles out of the twisted strands if you cut too deep. Picking them all up is no fun, trust me.

Check local laws first. In Arizona they won't take stripped wires. Thieves stripped wires thus removing and markings
