Let's make a fun wire wrapped ring using a free stone, and free form!!
What you will need:
18"- 20" of 18 ga wire (I used copper)
Nippers
Pliers

. I’m glad I found ya!! I’m picking my wire wrapping journey back up after attempting it before. I had gotten discouraged.I’m tired of bead/stone cages and wanted something new. Most of my stones do not have holes. These seem super easy and not over complicated. Gotta love the funky one of kind piece! Thank you for taking your time to do this video. Thank you very much for shows that how does make a beautiful wire Stone on the video.. I really like to do it myself. Because I have some crystal stones. Now, I would inspire to make something with it after watch of your video. So, where can I get rolling of the wires? Also, l do not have a ring size metal stick.....

Thank you for stopping by and for the comment. You can buy wire at most craft stores and i have bought it on Etsy as well. if you dont have a ring mandrell, you may be able to find a dowell at your local hardware store that is the same size as your finger. Thank you again!!

you can wrap wire on the bottom if the ring as a ring sizer. i dont know if that makes sense. i should make a video on that!

Great video 😊 Is 18 ga aluminium wire okay?

Sure thing! if it is dead soft, you may loose the shape of your ring. you can work harden it slightly if you have a jewlery hammer. while it is still on the mandrel, use the nylon or rawhide side of the hammer and gently tap it, gently!! for about 2 min. if you dont have a jewelry hammer, it will harden over time with wear, and you can re shape it in your mandrel before wearing! how long does copper wire last? does it turn your finger green?

Wire wrapped rings,copper, silver, brass, if cared for can last years. i made a friend a ring she has been wearing it for 10 years! copper does turn me green in the summer. i wear my copper rings in the winter. there are sealer products that you can apply that protect your skin, but they do eventually wear off. Thanks for taking time to comment!! I get the wire from online mostly. etsy is a great place, and now that stores are open, all craft stores carry copper wire!!
