There are 2 reasons why they approach citizens…they are looking to take their freedom or take their money. That’s it. They are NOT your friend. So if you see them approach you, count on one of those 2 things to happen. And they have no problem using intimidation to make it happen.

Is there some law against wearing a bulletproof vest? This is the 3rd time I've heard this new "suspicious" behavior coming out of cops this week as an excuse to to stop people. The departments keep coming up with lies as needed when they get caught lying in courts.

In Texas nope, it's recommend now due to random ass shootings. I gotten in trouble with it for wearing it in a restaurant because "If armor, he is armed" but the sergeant saved them from getting a lawsuit from me.

laws i have read, it's illegal to wear a vest while in commission of a crime. but, it definitely changes based on where you are. so check your own state laws.

Detaining someone because 'people are calling on you' is detaining someone based on heresy. Heresy is not Responsible Articulateable Suspicion that you have committed, are committing, or are about to commit a crime that is not based on intuition, hutch, or experience but on a single Articulateable fact that that officer can repeat in front of a Judge or Jury. Which is exactly where his fourth amendment violation is headed.

OMG on #3! If only taking care of grass made property yours! I’d mow everything in sight if that were true! I’m sure this city has ordnances similar to the ordnances in my city. My city outlines in the ordnances how they want the public easements in front of homes and businesses taken care of by the home owners and business owners. My city even specifies exactly how they want you to trim the trees if there have been trees planted by the city in the easement. But the bottom line is that it’s a public easement that is your responsibility to maintain. Your maintenance doesn’t make it any less of a public easement.

This cop needs to take responsibility for his own sctions and if hes worried he might be getting set up violate his rights, then perhapscthis officer should sit doen and learn the law. A better plan for him would be to quite work and back to school and get a better education before going back out and becoming a law enforcement officer again. A smart plan for him would find a good accredited collage and get is 2 year degree in Criminal Justice. He also leanr to treat citizens with much more respect then he showed here in this interaction.

Believe me, any other person instead of you could have been in the back of cops car. It's very disturbing when these cops use excessive unlawful force, starting with "I JUST WANT TO HAVE A NORMAL CONVERSATION"

That's what I hate people know they don't have to i.d but give it anyway knowing the cop doesn't care all they want is your i.d me I would feel defeated if I surrender over my information
