This is the most outrageous treatment of innocent people. If the cop had listened to the woman, he would have heard her say he had a seizure and was still post-ictal. More than 70% of people with epilepsy report post-ictal (after-seizure) complications, including confusion, fear, exhaustion, headache, emotional reactivity, memory problems and behavioral changes. Some last an hour; others can last for days. This should not go consequent free. Punishment, fines, and mandatory training for the entire department.

My girlfriend and I used to live in Las Vegas. She has epilepsy. Sometimes I would have to dial 9-11 if her seizures lasted beyond a few minutes. I eventually had to ask them to stop sending police because they were always looking for a crime where there was none. They would accuse her of being on drugs, were unsympathetic and even made fun of her.

How were these pigs allowed to question him post-seizure while he was still in hospital with NO lawyer or his fiance at least? All the questions were designed to exonerrate the monster cop who tased him and the rest who arrested him as well as frame the guy for "fighting" the cops. They are desperate to charge/convict him of a crime bc they illegally tased him and arrested him. The doctor NEVER should have allowed the cop in the room.

I just saw this one the other day on a different channel and I was ENRAGED at this treatment. During the interaction and especially afterwards when the police found out that he was definitely having a grand mall seizure! 😱😱😱 They still arrested him for a medical emergency that he has absolutely no control over his actions. 😡😡 I have seen a plethora of medical emergencies as well as mental health ones being dealt with by police that are absolutely ATROCIOUS! I saw one where a cop pulled over a lady who had an accident from a BRAIN BLEED and he assumed she was drunk and didn't go through ANY protocol whatsoever and she was arrested and held in jail for 18 hours getting progressively worse 🤔 with no medical attention while officers mocked her. 😱 She lost valuable time getting proper medical care and it caused significant irreparable damage to her brain leaving her permanently disabled. DISGUSTING And I can't even count the times I've seen cops deal horrifically with people with mental health issues and they end up killing them. DISTURBING!!!

Was it a cover up. With doctor saying he had seizure, and would've given a basic explanation of what the guy was going thru at the time. And no qand a of the mans wife who was in room. And bodycam of the event. Along with medical statements the only reason to charge this man was to stymie civil suit. As this cop tased a patient having grand maul seizure . His first minute first aid was going to be cpr. Then the hospital allows cop to interrogate him and cuff him to bed. The crazy part is the man said repeatedly to cop leave him alone.

What I don't get in the US is why is the police involved in medical incidents? Why do you call the police to begin with? In my country you would call the medics who know how to handle a person during a seizure, and provide actual help without being afraid that they will get "attacked". And if someone accidentally gets hit by the person having the seizure, they don't think that the patient is trying to attack and certainly don't blame them for having a seizure.

The first mistake was sending cops instead of EMS out on a grand mal call. After that it was one wrong move after another by these cops. The absolute rule of care to be taken with grand mal sufferers is to protect them from hurting "themselves during and after the seizure because they have no idea what they are doing. That doesn't mean handcuffs. It means prevent his head and body from rolling off a bed or against hard or sharp objects by removing or padding the objects. It does not mean fighting with, and dragging the seized person. The woman kept screaming but said nothing that explained the situation to the cops. Just yelling "he's unconscious" when it looked to the cops like drunken anger. Yelling "grand mal" would have helped more if the cops could let go of their own preconceived idea of drunken behavior. Taser could easily have restarted the seizure. Putting him on his stomach could have suffocated him. I had many grand mal patients in my years as an RN and it breaks my heart and angers me to see this cruel stupidity played out on an innocent person who did nothing more than suffer a grand mal.

There is no need to take this test - ask to be taken straight away to the laboratory for testing. The cops' job is to make you guilty so they can cleanse themselves. Let your lawyer speak.

I've suffered a seizure before. Thankfully this asshole wasn't there..The first thing that I remember after the seizure was seeing EMS over me and I had an IV in my arm. I no recollection of the event. A friend was with me and said that I was very combative as well. Luckily EMS dealt with me in a professional manner and no cops like this one was around. It was very confusing trying to understand what had happened to me.

A lot of people ask this question. why do cops go to medical calls. Ems goes to calls deemed safe. The police are there to ensure the safety of the workers. However, they should not be putting hands on patients at all. seeing as all they can do is attack, and charge them for having medical problems.
